Last year SV was taunting SA players on the field about their teammate that recently passed away.  No love lost for the neighboring town.

No tolerance for this behavior but I can say first hand that there is a dynamic within the communities where this stuff is on going. All kids and people from Sville are not this way.

Fortunately, on the Sville end several of the instigators are out of school now and in jail. I don't wish jail on any kid, but these kids needed removed from the school scene.

NB - Shelbyville game was streamed.
25 sec left, SV leads by 6. 4th down and 5. NB had used their last 2 timeouts to save clock. Kneeling gives the other team the ball on the 8 yard line, 11 in the shotgun. How dare SV throw a 6 yard touchdown in lieu of gaining 5 yards to get the 1st down              (on the 1 yard line) and kneel it out with class. The world is soft. Why would you not try to score to make it a 2 possession game to secure a win for your team? I guess the old 2 ears 1 mouth saying does not apply to thumbs on a phone or fingers on a keyboard.
Seems like some people on this site are searching for any opportunity to tear down kids and coaches. With as many experts that are on this site some of y’all need to get in the reality business instead of the spewing opinions and making up, or repeating         un-credible sources for your post.

Yes, same kid told me today it was 4th down.

Said they ran the ball on the play before but for some reason the clock stopped?

New Boston called a timeout . And if you don’t know the hole truth why  would you get on here blasting a program or coaching staff?

They needed their TobinFrost whipped before they went to jail, if they indeed taunted SA over a teammate that had passed away. I’ve never heard of something more disturbing, if true.

Well, a starter that played in the game told me the scenario. I won't say his name.

I always try to make sure there aren't any "holes" in my truths. Sorry if my comment in this open forum on a trash talking site offended you.

I like alot of people from shelbyville and I have several family members from there. Not all of them but as a whole they cannot handle success. I don't remember the exact years but about 9-12 years ago they had a very very good football team and it was the worst thing that could have happened to the town 70% of people from there turned into complete idiots. Mocking a School because they wouldn't play a game on Saturday because they where having a funeral for a student that day was where I drew the line. I'm not just talking players. I'm talking adults directly involved with the team (I can't say a name because I promised someone I respect I wouldnt) I mean this in the most unmalicious way possible. It is in the best interest of Shelbyville they never have a dominate Football team again.

And I know what you're thinking. "Yeah right lambo" no everything I just said is accurate and as insane as it sounds I know families that don't get together at Thanksgiving and Christmas or even speak because of the hard feelings.

Every school/program has stories people can tell about them that can make them look bad and most are probably true. Mainly because your dealing with 14 to 18 year old kids and kids don’t always make the best decision.

I've been a lot of places and witnessed a wide spectrum of human behavior. The whole situation surrounding the team you speak of is a uniquely phenomenal story.

Friday Night Lights mixed with No Man's Land. (The Sabine River basin no man's land story)

This particular situation was all on the adults. Centered around a maniac that was probably on growth hormone, or anabolic steroids. Maybe both?

I don't know for fact about the drug part, but there were a lot of signs pointing in that direction. It's my educated guess.

Oh you didn’t offend me. Just remember the kids get on here and read  . Most of them you coached in little league and probably think highly of you.

My whole goal was to have them think positive things about me when they look back and know that I was fair, and that I cared about them.

Not how much we won or lost or how much I actually taught them about playing the different sports.

I still remember nearly all of their birthdays (at least the month) and can tell you numerous positive things about their personalities and good qualities.

A lot of the parents, grandparents, and even some great grandparents aren't real fond of me, but the kids are.

I would bet everything I own agaisnt a dollar that given one day with those kids most of them would be happy that I was around. They would play hard for me too. Which is a total different story.

True story! I remember when this happened too. It was unreal how they acted. Really surprising to see adults & kids act that way.

Let’s keep this about the game this week between the current Shelbyville and Waskom teams please. Remember, the seniors on the field this year were in the third or fourth grade when that happened. No good can come out of rehashing it now.
