The Tenaha Tigers will be looking for their first win of the 2024 season when they make the long trek east to take on their arch rival, the Joaquin Rams. The Rams are coming off of a hard fought loss (28-24) on the road at Beckville on Thursday night. The Tigers fell at home to West Sabine by a 66-21 score. The Tigers were defeated 55-21 by Elysian Fields in week 1, while the Rams were winning a 65-44 shootout over Frankston. The Tigers won this game a year ago at The Pit by a score of 56-48. That was their first win in the series since 2017. Who gets the rivalry win this week?

Make the coach regret his decision to leave!

I doubt any folks regret leaving places nowadays. Changes are mostly driven by money since cost of living is so high

The last several years, 2023 being the outlier, Joaquin has at least been equal with Tenaha in terms of athleticism. The fact that the Rams have had an advantage in the trenches has allowed them to win 3 out of their last 4 meetings. Once again, that appears to be the case. In a best case scenario for the Tigers, athlete for athlete, it’s a wash. The Rams are better at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, and it’s not close. Football games are won and lost at the line of scrimmage. If they play a somewhat clean game, it won’t matter what Tenaha does. Rams win this one comfortably.

There ain't many men in this world besides my brothers that I will say I love. Wyatt Hairgrove is one of them. He was given the chance to Coach with his dad. Who wouldn't take that?

Also, I wanna say how upsetting it is to me personally that for some ungodly reason Tenaha has fallen on hard times. I played against Marlon McClure, Cameron Choice, Cobi and Terrance Steadman, Josh Jernigan, LaDarren Cooks, Chavis Gregory and Last but Certainly not least Reginald Davis. I don't understand how this has happened but I pray Tenaha figures it out. Just not this week. GO RAMS

Tenaha returns 22 lettermen, losing 7...which is a hit, but not like 12-14.  They return 6 on either side of the ball, went 5-0 in district and made it to 3 round last year.  Not exactly sure why they have struggled like they have but seems like they have a good nucleus to pull things together.  I think their 2 losses are to playoff bound teams so I wouldn't write off the Tigers just yet.  I was looking back to see when they started 0-2 and you have to go back to 2015 when they actually started 0-5, but then rallied to finish 8-6, losing to Muenster in the 4th round.  Probably hoping for that kind of finish!  Their struggle is definitely on defense with points allowed of 59.5 over 2 games; offensively scoring 20.5.  They have the dudes, it will be interesting to see how/if they come together and right the ship.  Like you hoping they don't this week, same for me on 10/11! lol
