It's like I've said before, politics is a mix of WWE (or theater, if you prefer, like Thomas Massie said) and card tricks. Like when politicians say, "I have a plan!" "Well, what is it?" "Trust me! I have a plan!" That doesn't do us a whole lot of good, does it? "I care about you!" BS you do. You care about getting elected. Does that apply to all of them? No. But I believe it applies to a large number of them. A very large number. Edited September 12 by Monte1076

I’m 1500 words in and 1) talked to voters about abortion 2)did stuff at the border (that they critiqued) 3) “Harris was also at the forefront of the administration's pursuit to codify voting rights protections”. Whatever that means. Doesn’t sound like the article proves she did anything at all actually. And he called me delusional!!!! LOLOLOL!!! That's why you can't have a civil discourse with liberals...they base their stances on false information. When your whole thought process is based in delusional, false information it's just not worth the effort because they don't want to know the truth. Democrats have gone so far left on social issues, I can’t even fathom voting for them. Maybe a local election, but certainly not a National one or a state wide one. One thing I can say about Trump is, for all of his faults at least he doesn't play their game all the way but nevertheless he's also a pawn. This election was decided a long time ago. People everywhere blaming the otherside for the recession and high interest rates, but never point at the Federal Reserve, but which is PRIVATE. My wife hates my cynical approach to politics. But the end game is getting votes. And like the late, great Eddie Guerrero, they'll "lie, cheat, and steal" to get those votes. I look at most, if not all, politicians as self-serving and conniving until they show me otherwise. It's why I like those parody "Honest Gil" ads so much from Represent.Us. If you haven't, pop onto YouTube and watch them. They address things that you and I probably already know, but in a frustratingly humorous way (they use humor to make a point about something that's frustrating). One of the bigger problems we have in politics, especially if the person representing us is from our party, is that most of the time we're like, "My Rep/Senator is great. It's the other people." "We've always done it this way" isn't really always an excuse to keep doing it that way. Like if I were elected President, I wouldn't do the judicial Confirmations the way most Presidents do. What I'd do is get the Majority leader and Minority leader of the Senate. I'd sit them down and say, "Look, each of you pick two people from your party, for a committee of 6. What I want you to do is unanimously make a list of acceptable nominees." It may make me look foolish, but how many of these confirmation hearings are dog and pony shows? Just like most of the hearings. Edited September 12 by Monte1076

What does it tell you when 90% of the media, vast majority of billionaires, the bureaucratic arm of the government, and a large number of war mongering republicans all gang up on one guy? They setting him up to be a martyr and win a valiant victory WWE style or are they legitimately worried. Are these trials show trials? I doubt if he is in on it, Trump would agree to go to prison. DAWG91
https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/113126153368079486 No do-over's for KH. I think this is the right call. About the only way I would agree to another debate is if the tables are turned, and the moderators were Tucker Carlson or Jesse Waters or someone like that. We all know that not a single D would agree to this. They can't abide a fair fight or turnabout fair play. Pound sand Kamala.

She didn’t show up for the Fox debate. Then said no to others. She only accepted the one where she would be given the questions ahead of time, her sorority sister was a “moderator”, got to wear an ear piece and the network lobbed soft tosses to her and attacked Trump. She got what she wanted and still couldn’t win decisively 3vs1
