That game wasn’t that close and they had to deal with the weather as well. But agree it will be decided Friday. I think Lufkin is improving and should win Friday, but I’ve been wrong before. So, who knows.. So let me correct it. Marshall is way better than initially put out to start the for sure, heck I think Marshall will be 1st or second in district and will TH is run for their money no doubt. But that was very unusual game for Tyler, the weather really did a number on those kids. They aren’t a 0 pass completion offense and they’ve shown that over that last two weeks. After having as good of summer as they did you don’t just turn bad overnight like that. The weather favored Marshall in huge way. Cause Tyler is a passing team more than running this year, that’s where all the main weapons are. If you go look at the past Tyler great teams for Tyler they all started bad at some point and people doubted them and told them they were no good based off of 1 or 2 games. Only for them to either win the district or go deep in the playoffs and then everyone would somehow be shocked. 2018 was a prime example they started the season losing 66-3 to cedar hill and and got blowed out by LV. People doubted them saying they were no good and would be lucky to do anything and they won their district and went the distance with HP in the 4th. Don’t judge a team on the first week. Judge them on 10th week.

PackAttack
The only unknown about this game is our starting QB will make his first start of the year after an injury in our scrimmage against Huntsville. How much rust will he have, if not WR Coutee has done a remarkable job the last two games. Lufkin sat some defensive players last week against LRSW and the team didn't miss a beat. This will be the first time all the starters will be on the field together this year. We like playing at the Rose, we know Tyler will give us their best shot. Anything can happen. Every one is wanting to play well getting ready to open district play the following week..

NODAYSOFFTX
One thing Lufkin didn’t get to see last year was Haralson and Mcmiller at RB, Mcmiller was injured when they both played last year. You will get a good dose of both Friday.

Not worried about the defense against the run. They will be up for the challenge. I guess one area of concern would be with the speed of the WRs at Tyler. They have some kids that can go. If the o line doesn’t block like they did in the Marshall game your defense will have a field day. If they block like they did last two weeks, we will have a punchers chance. It's probably not going to be as easy as I'm thinking lol. Tyler has good players. You guys have a big time WR that is going to be a handful. A QB who can throw it and make plays with his feet. Lufkin strength is stopping the run. The pass defense hasn't really been tested yet. I think they're good but will find out Friday just how good. Then can Lufkin get the run going with Gavin. He's a 230lbs RB that runs down hill. Can we have the success Marshall had on the ground. Just so many variables.

Considering TH isn't as big at every position as anything y'all have faced this year (specifically LV), I don't see how y'all don't have 400 yds rushing....by halftime
