The only thing I know about Grand Saline is that they are 3-0. I don’t know the record of those three teams, but I don’t believe any of them has a winning record. Joaquin is currently 2-1, with a loss to 3-0 Beckville, and wins over 2-1 Frankston and 0-3 Tenaha. It’s my suspicion that we will be the best football team GS has played, and they are the best we’ve played. I know nothing about the style of football they play, or the offense they run. To my knowledge, we’ve never played them before. This should be an interesting game that makes both teams better.

GS demolished Rains Friday night, they have played two Class 3A Division I Schools along with a ranked Class 2A DI school and is undefeated.

Joaquin is 2-1. Know nothing about them.

Who wins?

Although Cooper isn’t near as good this year as they have been, they still had some flashes at times against GS. Just couldn't do enough consistently to capitalize. GS defense had a lot to do with that. The Indians are pretty stingy against the run & if Joaquin is still run heavy, then it may be tough sledding for the rams. Going with GS to start off 4-0.

Everything I have seen on GS is they are extremely sound and well coached on technique. They do what they do well and QB is the engine and GS is very good upfront. Rams have big challenge this Friday night

What do they run on offense?

Appears to be veer or option based. Don’t know if it’s true read or not. QB is approximately 55% of their runs

I’m from Grand Saline, been to the last 2 games. They are very strong up front. Especially on Defense. Yall will be shocked with the Grand Salines RB. Dudes a monster out of the backfield. And the QB is super fast. Also have 1 very tall and fast receiver. I’ve watched Joaquin’s highlights. And I feel like Joaquin is going to have there hands full. GrandSaline 45 Joaquin 31

Sounds like it will be strength vs strength…. Probably safe to say this is the toughest team both have seen to date… which is a good thing for both. Good measuring stick before district play. Let’s just hope both teams stay healthy and have a good contest
