Lion Breed
Henderson just coming off a blowout game over Gainesville from 60 something to 6 and Palestine looks like there down year, it's the start of the District game and home game for the Lions, will Henderson continue doing well and looking like a playoff team or will Palestine stops them in there tracks and get back were there been a tough opponent in the District of Doom. Lion7000
Both similar teams! Must win keeps thin playoff hopes alive! Realistically the loser is needs help and a miracle! Kilgore, Chill, Lindale , and Pine Tree seem to the playoff teams. The winner will need to beat Palestine , Mabank, and an upset! I take Henderson!
Lion Breed
Athens defeats Palestine by blow out and on the Marshall game they put up 60 something on Palestine, in this game no disrespect towards Palestine but I expect Henderson to Dominate, around either 60 something or close, I do see Palestine Freshman team doing well and would be good thru the years when they develop to jrs or seniors. I take a win . Henderson isn’t dominating anyone in District. Well except maybe Mabank! We should be in every game throughout! The district is pretty evenly split and can’t afford to overlook anyone esp Palestine that beaten us five or so years in a row!

If Athens dominated Palestine, we beat Athens and what makes you think Henderson can't dominate a 0 and 4 team like Henderson did Gainesville which was 0 and 3 I do see Palestine and Mabank being dominated the other games Henderson has to be up for and difficult task. Comparing games always not a good indicator. It about matchups! Marshall would have gave us the business too! Gainesville was atrocious! Jacksonville was awful! GoodOleBoy73
Give me Henderson here, but I don’t think we have a good gauge on these two teams due to the schedule of Henderson and the coaching change at Palestine

True but the Lions looks better on Offense it just the Defense needs to step it on up through the District, I mean Henderson going score some points it's the Defense needs more stops to let the Offense do there scoring. mav01
Marshall's freshman team is struggling greatly this year. Plus 3 freshman on Varsity supposedly. That doesn't mean Palestine doesn't have a good freshman team. Varsity wise, Henderson should win by 30 or 40. Henderson is spreading the ball around and hitting on all cylinders. Coming at a good time. I think they could sneak up on Lindale or a CHill team with no Brisbon. Would have been better if they had a little tougher non district. The other 4 teams are way more battle tested. That could be the difference. Maybe if they happen to play Kilgore and/or PT before Lindale and CHill. Those teams would probably help test and prepare them before they play the other 2 teams they could potentially upset imo. Not sure how their schedule works out though.
mav01
Would have been better for Henderson And Marshall if they had kept their non district game going this year. Palestine could have played Gainesville and Marshall kept Henderson. 2 way better matchups for all 4 programs.

Lion7000
I know it is first real game being District! We can agree that neither can’t afford a loss here and expect a playoff spot. This district is very competitive!

He injured his shoulder during the Whitehouse game at the end of the 2nd quarter. Sat out the entire 2nd half and didn't suit up in the Carthage game. Not sure how long he will be out, I figured they sat him out of Carthage due to it being non-district.

mav01
Palestine knows they are in a rebuilding year and Henderson is cautiously optimistic. Not much to rant about. Henderson wins big and is more worried about how they will upset one of the big 4.
