Winnsboro by 21 if they clean some things up.  Winnsboro by 8 if they don’t.

Ball security will be at a premium moving forward. Too many turnovers thus far in the season.

Growing pains for the Red Raiders...so many new faces and new combinations to mesh together takes lots and lots of reps. Defense looked lights out at times and then would have a busted coverage or multiple missed tackles to allow a big gain.  I'm sure the Hooks running back is very good but so many missed tackles by the Red Raiders has to be addressed. These are All things that Coach Finney and his staff will be working on going forward.

Winny by 21 over Commerce

Winny travels to the Merce next week for the opening district game. Looking forward to seeing the new facilities the Tigers have up there.

Facility is nice, only thing lacking is visitor side bleachers, probably big enough for y’all’s band!!! lol.

This might be the most interesting match up in this district this year with big time playoff seeding implications right out of the gate.

The games this week for the whole district will be good, imo. They aren't world beaters but should be competitive games.

Commerce is interesting being that you never really know what you are going to get. The players are there but what will it look like come Friday night? One matchup i know that will be crucial is our ability to block DE #10. He is a fantastic player and made it in our backfield alot last year. If we are able to block him i believe we should have great success throwing the ball. Our running game has been strong also and i dont see that changing this week either.

Yeah, Commerce has always met the eye test.....but often is a mess. Those kinda teams can potentially be dangerous though. If they do put 4 quarters together, however rare it may be, they could be a problem.

I think alot of times, its how they start the game. Last year we were up like 30 something to 0 in the first quarter so essentially it was already over. I believe it will be crucial for us to get off to a good start this week to not give them that confidence early on in the game.
