Royse City 2-2 at Rockwall 2-2 this Friday. Rockwall coming off of a mind blowing 70-17 loss to possibly this year's Class 6A State Champions North Crowley. The Bulldogs from Royse City feeling good about their 35-25 Homecoming win over a pretty good Weatherford Kangaroos team.

New season and new coach at Royse City. One loss to a very good Plano East team and the other loss.... well, that should have not happened. Rockwall is Rockwall, and every year they will be on top, or near to it. Losses to Lake Travis and North Crowley are losses to two of the best programs in the state. It's been a couple years for the Royse City Bulldogs to have a winning season, but they are also only a couple years in Class 6A which they went two rounds deep their first season in 2022. Royse City is growing quickly, and new talent is arriving daily and actually Royse City just surpassed the enrollment of Rockwall. If not this year, it is on the immediate horizon for Royse City to take the reins on this district.

So Royce City enrollment is near 3000 students. Regardless y'all are definitely growing.

Damn. At this rate. Are y'all considering building a new high school? What is your high school capacity?

Not sure I've thought of Weatherford as pretty good...they are 0-4....Colvin does a good job, but Rockwall's gonna be good and angry after North Crowley pulled their pants down

Yes sir, we broke ground in the spring on the new Worthy-Fate High School.  It will have Freshman and Sophomore classes in 2027.  Our present high school is overwhelmed and busting at the seams.  We have enough portables to start a class 3A school now just in the portables.

Where will the new high school be located? Will the new school have it's own stadium or will it have to share stadiums?

Rockwall gonna win this one, but I won't be surprised if RC ends up better than their predicted second to last place in their division.  Heath not looking so hot, generating zero offense, and not sure N Forney is looking good either.

Heath and North Forney have both won two straight...both maybe figuring things out...

The Worthy Fate High School will be located about two miles north of Fate, Texas on FM552. It will have everything that a new high school will have with a JV type stadium that will seat about 1000 fans. All Varsity games for now, will be played at Royse City ISD Stadium which has undergone a lot of upgrades including a new and impressive Event Center, a new sound system, home side stadium has been enlarged and the visitor side will be enlarged next year that will increase the stadium seating to approximately 11,000 fans. Also, a new locker room will be added at the stadium for the Worthy Fate High School players. The practicing fields are also being improved with artificial turf and many upgrades being planned and included in the weight rooms and the indoor workout facilities. Also at the stadium are additional parking spaces and with the access to the stadium from IH30, the entry will include new entrance and exit places as the farm to market road is being widened from a two lane to four lane road. And yes, Bucees will be there for pre- or post-game use.

There is also property that has been purchased for a third and fourth high school.  Enrollment is unbelievable. In just one week after the first day of school there were 300 more students enrolled. Of course that is the norm for first week in any school, but not by 300 students!!

Heath and North Forney have some very talented football teams. They have also played a very talented pre-district schedule. The Hawks, led by Coach Rodney Webb and the Falcons with talented returning starters from last year's successful season will be in the hunt. After Friday night, more will be exposed and a slightly better opinion may be developed to see how this district will evolve. Very talented football teams and highly respected coaches at every school. May be, as a whole, one of the most talented coaching districts in the state.

This will be a huge game on the freshmen level.

Battle of the unbeatens.

Yes, I know that the Royse City Freshmen are as good or better than any Freshman team that has ever played for the Bulldogs. They are very good.

Damn. Already looking ahead for the 3rd and 4th high school. The tax payers will never get a break. 😆 🤣 😂  Royse City is growing that fast. Can't wait to see the new improvements on the stadium.

Rockwall, Heath, Tyler Legacy and Royse City all undefeated on the freshmen level. Forney 3-1.

What is incredible is that the school tax rate has decreased every year for the past 6 years.

That's around 10% growth in a week, that's incredible
