LoboFan07
Rockwall is the clear favorite. Yes, they were blown out by North Crowley, but that’s going to happen to a ton of teams this year. They nearly beat Lake Travis at LT with their backup QB. They put up a 60 spot this week. Unless King had a come to Jesus moment, this could be an absolute blowout for our boys. But, gonna choose to believe King has seen the light and made the appropriate changes. We’ll see.
Grainraiser
Rockwall always have issues with teams with athletes. The key to beating them is to not let them jump out to a early lead. They will pile it on if you let them. They have a good running game which gives their offense balance. It Longview can keep them below 36pts they will win. If Rockwall scores 37 or more they will win. Should be a good game. Edited September 30 by Grainraiser

Their is no way Rockwall has more overall speed than Longview. You did a good write-up, even though I don't agree with everything. But I have to call bs on Rockwall, having more speed than Longview. I also don't believe Rockwall played a tougher schedule than Longview. I do believe Rockwall has played the best team in North Crowley. kingwolf
I hope we are healthy…being down 6 defensive lineman against Ruston was evident… Rockwall has to be favored to come out of Lobo with the W…they will most likely score 40+. MattStepp
I got into a wormhole on schedule between Rockwall-Longview....so used the two main computer ranking services to rate the TX teams....I listed Ruston as #2 since they beat Midland Legacy by a larger margin than Lake Travis did since it was a common opponent.... Longview opponents #2 Ruston #4 SOC #5 Lufkin #6 Marshall Avg Opp Rank 4.25 Rockwall opponents #1 North Crowley #3 Lake Travis #7 Lewisville #8 Berkner #9 Royse City Avg Opp Rank 5.6 Schedule edge goes to Longview haha Edited September 30 by MattStepp

Grainraiser
Saying Rockwall has more team speed than Longview is laughable. Rockwall is the only state ranked top 25 team to give up 70pts twice. They struggle with teams with athletes and good defenses. Remember it took a miracle play for them to beat a 5-5 Horn last year. Longview needs to have a solid run game and their typical salty defense to get this win. I would have concerns about the Jackets running back Jamir Wilson because if he runs wild it will be a long day for the Lobo's. Longview needs to be aware of the trick plays/offside kicks Rockwall will run. The Lobo's can't get into a shoot out with Rockwall. That is exactly what the want and they seldom lose in those.

micotrav
Personally, speaking and I know how famous East Texas speed is and it is a touchy subject when you predict someone else having a speed advantage, but "overall" and that is not that Longview may have one or two players faster, but I'm convinced that this season, Rockwall has a very fast team and their backups to their backups are fast. I only give a very respectful slight "overall" speed advantage to Rockwall. Another challenged point, but Longview better adjust to Rockwall's passing game. They can air it out to some incredible athletes. I see Matt Stepp's challenge on paper about schedule strength, but North Crowley, Lake Travis and Lewisville are tough outs, as are Ruston, SOC and Lufkin. This can be argued another way as if North Cowley vs. Ruston; Lake Travis vs. SOC and Lewisville vs Lufkin, which I give advantage to Lufkin. And even though Rockwall did rough up my team Royse City last week, it was another game that the Yellowjackets played which is also another game scheduled more than Longview, which were resting on Bye Week. In other words, Rockwall has played 5 games mentally and physically and Longview has played 4 games. And of course this can give a schedule strength advantage to Longview for having a Bye week before they play Rockwall. I just "think" that North Crowley would beat Ruston, Lake Travis would beat SOC, and this is a wild guess on my part, Rankings are great and amusing, but they are also including opinions.
Mavchamp
I can’t even remember the last time Longview lost 3 consecutive games. Without looking it up I would guess 2000 or 2001. That’s insane.
