When you have as many coaches in the bleachers and keyboards as they do you can’t help being great!

Let's be frank about what we watched last night.

Yes the offensive line played good. But we just watch Kelvin Washington have the single greatest performance by a Lobo in the history of our 110+ year program.

Even with that, the game still felt like it was going the other way in the 4th quarter but we couldn't stop Rockwall.

King still made bone head decisions. Mav completed 4 passes on the night. Three of them were due to great adjustments because they were poorly thrown.

We still put the ball on the field five different times tonight. We had a penalty that cost us potentially seven and gave Rockwall the momentum to open the second half.

This team is not beating anyone from the DeSoto/Duncanville/Lancaster/Cedar Hill/Waxahachie district the way things are currently.

We are absolutely zero threat to pass the ball....at all.

We got some timely stops defensively (will giving up over 500 yards of offense and 34 points) then let Boosie eat.

Rockwall is definitely no where near as good as I was expecting coming into the season, but neither is anyone in our district.

Coaching did not win Longview the game.

I can appreciate this view. Getting out of Region 2 with the talent that is in district 11 will take a monumental effort and a near perfect game, along with mistakes from any team coming out of that district. That is not a slight against Longview by any means, they are just that good. Longview will compete early against them but it is just a lot to ask.

Exactly.

If anything, it kept it being as close as it actually was.

The boys was literally throwing it into triple coverage sometimes if we make it to the playoffs i predict the defense will play us the way they did in the early 2000s 8 in the box and make us pass to win

Don't expect to go far this year just long  as we keep the playoff streak alive

It's some young Lobos players right now saying they want to be like Bossie when they grow up. After witnessing what they saw last night. In their minds he is the greatest running back to come out of Longview. Bossie is the standard right now for future Longview Lobos football players.

That's why Longview will always be running back U coming out of East Texas. Someone is always setting the bar for the players coming up behind them. Bossie badazz enjoy your moment. You deserve everything coming your way.

Does his performance remind you of the first time you eclipsed fifty words per minute on your Fisher Price keyboard?

I'm baffled as to why Rockwall stacked the box and still could not force Longview to pass. Boosie was untouched at the line of scrimmage on those long runs. Longview passing game is very limited so you know eight in the box is what your going to see in those district games. Those completed pass plays were just about all on the receiver adjusting to the ball and making a play. This district is going to be very interesting because I see alot of parity. Coaching is going to matter.

Without boosie we are having a totally different conversation right now. We have a JV level quarterback at the moment and how far this team goes is still riding on that change. Boosie can’t put together the performance he put together tonight every week.

Will your coach make the necessary change?

Highly doubt it sadly. We’ve seen this before in Longview. Heck it took us getting skull dragged the first game in district for him to start his own son who’s the best to come through the program. I’m sure Rowe is a great kid but he is the 4th best quarterback in the program.

He won't need to our district isn't that great like people thought tbh

If we can’t throw we’ll probably need another all time performance from him again next week in Forney. Maybe not as insane as last night lol but we’ll need another big one. After that we’ll probably be fine but i’m telling you that change at quarterback would turn completely flip this season. We probably still won’t beat Desoto if we’re blessed enough to make it there but it’d give us the best chance at doing so.

Is he the Hallsville transfer?  Really short kid?

Imagine being a real threat to throw on top of Boosie’s talents. We have the receivers.

Yes it's hard to watch him throw the ball. It's always a 50/50 pass if that. I honestly wonder what will make the coach pull him.

If he didn't after back 2 back  home losses then he won't unfortunately
