Looks like there will be a shake up in 3A Division 2 rankings, several losses on the top 10 including Canadian. Diana looks poised to move up after beating Winona.

Apparently they went running clock in second half against Winona. Ended up 65 - 0.

I really hope we get a Diana vs Gunter matchup. This Diana team is absurdly good, weapons all over the field. Large and effective offensive line. I've heard they've got about 6 kids that can score from anywhere at any time, which is pretty crazy at 3AD2. At that level, you're doing good if you have 2 kids like that.

We'll see. Right now we've got that Gladewater comparison to go from - and Diana met no resistance there while Daingerfield got beat.

That’s a dang good start! I see that New Diana went 5-0 last season before facing Daingerfield (thanks @2017Patriot) Before that it was back in 2005 when they started  6-0, so this has to fee good. Two of the best to grace the halls of Alto HS as teacher/coach are New Diana Eagles. They got married and took their first jobs at good ‘ol AHS.

That's looking my ahead, right now they need to face the most dangerous opponent they have to face this year. The BYE is undefeated at all levels and can make or break any team.

Considering what one of the LB's did to an opponent, on film, my Junior Year and no reprimands were done to that individual after tape was sent to Austin....wouldn't hurt my feelings if they lost in 1st round lol

05, but that behavior has been in existence even when the coaching carousel was happening in ND the past few years. Can't justify making a tackle, standing over the RB and stomping on his groin area and nothing be done about the action.

Sounds like you're pretty certain. 

I know you've only posted like 5 times, welcome to SDC. I know 100% for a fact these type of behaviors have occurred MANY times between '04-'10. Since that was only a 7 yr stretch, it very well could have never stopped

So things that happened 14-20 years ago are still happening? I’ve seen them a couple of times this year, maybe once last year, and haven’t seen those things happen.

 

Checking the historical section, that was during the span of 2 coaches. There have been 5 since. I’m sure SMU is still paying Eric Dickerson, as well.

ND, like others, will never be immune to a kid letting his emotions get the best of him at times. I pay closer attention to how the leadership handles it. In my time in the community, I've always been very impressed how those rare incidents have been handled.

If I recall correctly, the last time I saw that type of behavior, it was from a move in about 10 years ago who would try to fight anyone and everyone, including his own teammates/coaches. I witnessed how coaches not only levied consequences, but provided behind the scenes mentorship and helped get him into counseling, etc. trying to help him control his emotions.
