Ronster23 Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 Tenaha visits Overton on Thursday, October 3rd for a district matchup. No one can ever take Tenaha for granted despite their 1-4 record. Overton won a close one vs Grapeland last week.
Texas Forever Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 What about Tenaha’s OC did he get let go?

Destry Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 Gonna hang with the stangs all the way. Thinking 3-4 tds.
MUSTANGMANIA Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 So who has watched Teneha play this year? What are they missing? I’ve seen them down before after the non district games and rebound during district play and go to the playoffs. But I don’t feel that they’ll do that this year. Are we to be surprised that they’re having an off year? I will say this, I talked to a young man last year at a football game who left Tenaha and went to Linden Kildare. He fully expected this to happen and pretty much predicted that they would not make the playoffs and if they did, it would be the fourth place team. Seems like they have an off-season about once a decade, and would still pull off a six and four season and go a couple arounds deep. But, I think if we beat them Friday night and they start 0-2 in district, then the remainder of their season is going to be a difficult uphill climb . As well as anyone who starts off 0-2 in this district.
EazyMoney Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 I don’t know what’s going on there. Overton was 9-0 last year when Tenaha beat them by 20. This year, it looks like Overton will win by 20, at least.
Lion1996 Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 What I watched of them on our games they weren’t very good either game. we did basically the same thing to them this year as last.
Cowboys1970 Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 (edited) My prediction is with Overton. No disrespect to their program as it it still strong overall in everything. I just think the football district is stronger than it used to be and that they didn't struggle with any teams that were put in their district. Tenaha is still Tenaha and will always be Tenaha. Even the best teams have down years, but until you are able to match what they have done, nothing but RESPECT for them ALWAYS!!!! Edited September 30, 2024 by Cowboys1970 1
Mr. P Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Gotta watch them Tigahs from Tennyhaw. They got a history of playing possum. Think it was back in '93 or '94, they played their whole non-district schedule running the Dead-T formation, mostly midline veer stuff. No passes. No outside runs. Extremely conservative. But soon as they play their first district game (against us) they come out in a Run & Gun throwing it all over the place. Took us the whole first half to adjust. By then it was too late.
Lambo Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Tenaha has athletes... I think the issue is the rotating door at HC. I hope the current guy stays for a while. 1
CoolCollected Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 Overton gets revenge from last year. Tenaha had some key pieces last year at wr rb and linebacker that left some shoes to fill.

StingEmALTO Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Won’t surprise me to see Tenaha rise up and do Tenaha. We’ll see!
