Clemson loses to the #1 team, they drop 11 spots.

Mizz loses to a ranked team, they drop 12 spots.

Bama loses to an unranked team, a team who hasn’t had a winning record since 2013, and only 2 since 1982!, they drop 6.

😆

And what’s crazy, it wasn’t a flukey last play win for Vandy. They absolutely dominated Alabama from start to finish. They straight up out physicalled and out coached Alabama in every facet of the game. It was mind bottling watching that whole game.

This is why I keep saying they shouldn’t bother with any rankings or polls until at least week 8. At this point, it shouldn’t matter. Also, if we could play more OOC P4 games and fewer of the G5 teams, we would have a better idea of the overall strength of the conferences and how they compare.

Me and few buddies was debating this (IDK if this is right place):

They are adamant that Ashton Jeanty should be the Heisman favorite because of the ungodly #s he's putting up for BSU....I said I realize that, but pump the brakes because ALOT of that is against weak teams. Which leads to this Q for anyone: Is there a scenario that a QB doesn't win the Heisman this year?

It wasn't fluky, but Vanderbilt basically just dominated Bama's 5-star DL with a RB and a QB.

I want to be fair that I don't believe Alabama is a bad team which is why I dropped them from my #2 team only down to #8.  We will look back at this game as an outlier and make us doubt their success every step of the way.

Alabama will be the most interesting team to watch the rest of the way though.  Good enough to beat Georgia, but bad enough to lose to Vanderbilt... This is why college football has such a big following.

Alabama is still a very good team without a doubt. Just goes to show in today's NIL college football that you better come ready to play, because some of these smaller schools have some dudes that can play.
