ON THIS DATE IN LOBO HISTORY: October 11th
In 1913, Longview defeated Mineola, 37-7, at Fair Park in Longview.
In 1930, Shreveport Byrd dominated Longview, 32-6, at Byrd Stadium in Shreveport.
In 1935, Fort Worth Masonic Home shut out Longview at Fair Park in Longview.
In 1940, Don Fambrough tallied three touchdowns, Bobby Smith rushed for two and T.A. Scott rushed for one as Longview rolled over Athens, 39-0, at Lobo Stadium.
In 1946, Jack Serpass rushed in from one yard out in the final minutes of the contest as Longview pulled out a 7-0 win over Texas High at Lobo Stadium. The Lobos intercepted the ball four times in the win.
In 1957, Johnny Burrell hauled in a 9-yard reception to lift Fort Worth Polytechnic to a 13-7 win over Longview at Farrington Field.
In 1963, Kenny Walters scored two touchdowns before Tommy Topkins returned a 50-yard interception for a score as Irving knocked off Longview, 18-0, at Lobo Stadium.
In 1974, Glendale Smith rushed from one yard out for a score before Ricky Watts returned a 78-yard interception for a touchdown as Longview shut out Tyler Lee, 13-0, at Lobo Stadium. The Lobos won the game with just 80 yards of total offense, and two first downs.
In 1985, Jason Baird kicked a 35-yard field goal and Clyde Byrd rushed for two yards out to lift Longview past Nacogdoches, 10-0, at Lobo Stadium. The two teams combined for just 204 yards of offense.
In 1991, after grabbed a 21-7 lead over Lufkin, the Panther crawled back to grab a 27-21 lead late in the third quarter. But Andre Davis picked up his third touchdown of the night with a 45-yard scamper before John Washington hauled in his second reception for a score to lift the Lobos past Lufkin, 36-27, at Abe Martin Stadium.
In 1996, Fred Talley’s 3-yard rush for a score before the Lobo defense stopped Lufkin on a two point conversion in the final minutes as the Lobos knocked off Lufkin, 20-18, at Lobo Stadium. Longview rushed for 240 yards on the night.
In 2002, Matt Flynn rushed for three scores including the game winner with 4:19 left to lift Tyler Lee past Longview, 28-21, at Rose Stadium. Alex Cammack kicked two field goals, as Joel Armstrong and Fred Hawkins rushed for a score each.
In 2013, Ja’Mycal Hasty rushed for three scores while Travin Howard returned a punt 81 yards for a score as the Lobos knocked off Rockwall Heath, 42-10, at Wilkerson-Sanders Memorial Stadium.
In 2019, Kaden Meredith rushed for four touchdowns, J.D. Williams hauled in an 8-yard reception for a score and Antonio Onofre kicked a 43-yard field goal as the Lobos rushed for 491 yards and registered 30 first downs in a 44-20 win over Mesquite Horn at E.H. Handy Stadium. 110 yards in penalties hampered the Lobos who put up 685 yards of offense.

For me this game is simple…Rowe will have to have one of his best performances for us to win. I think we can score and Forney will get their points. 
 

I just think we will get called for every minor infraction in this game. We can’t afford a lot of QB mistakes in this one. Honestly don’t think we can waste any opportunity.

if the penalties given out are close to fair, we should win by multiple scores

You are correct !!!       You can't beat the other team and the Zebras !

Freshmen A won 38-25.

JV A won 26-7.

JV B won 34-6.

Not sure how Freshmen B did.
