I’m sorry? I know carthage was missing players but you are telling me we beat Whitehouse, Pleasant Grove and Pine Tree because they were missing players.

I think JR88 was being sarcastic, which does not translate well on message boards.

Oh gotcha. And you are right it’s hard to tell if they are being sarcastic on a message board.

Given the title of this thread, I find it rather strange that there were more progress reports on this thread regarding the Henderson-Mabank game than the Kilgore-Chapel Hill game.

There is literally no cellular service in Chapel Hill.

Yeah it seems every win this season for us has been because the other team was missing key players…. Hmm

Well you know they ain’t the same without their stud , however they still managed to beat a good Lindale team and destroy Palestine more convincingly than we did for what it is worth!

Disclaimer

I do realize Kilgore is the superior team to Chill!

Takes 3 wins to get in the playoffs.
If CH wants braggin rights.... then we shall see.

Not necessarily but yea realistically. We have 3 wins and technically we could miss ( Palestine, Mabank , & Kilgore) . We would have to go winless and someone pull an upset for that to happen!

Hendo/Mabank was a way more interesting game.

Just for the record CH still had Brisbon and Stewart when they played Lindale. There’s no doubt in my mind if it had been a week later and Brisbon was out, Lindale would have won

So C-Hill wasn't missing their most important piece to their puzzle? I do know the qb is the most important player on the team. Their qb is one of the top players in the state. Surely that had something to do with why they lost do badly.

So basically CH is two players. Without them, they are nothing.

They still had their all star running back and couldn’t score ONE offensive point? Not even ONE???

Name another offensive player maker on C-Hill offense this year. Their passing game is nonexistent. So it's not hard to shut down one of the best running backs in the state.

Agreed-that comes down to coaching. CH coaches rely too much on these two. Kids have been run off and others haven’t been developed, and as you said, the passing game isn’t there and hasn’t been developed.
Kilgore has weapons in multiple places

Watch. CH will remain in the top 10, and Kilgore will remain unranked. Kind of like when we beat Carthage and neither changed in the rankings. lol.

Heck if that's what it takes to get us motivated and rolling i say leave us out...rankings don't mean nothing no way...just a couple of opinions

As long as we’re at #1 in mid-December, I’m good.

Agree.  Kilgore needs to stay out of top 10 for your own benefit.  I think that early season ink poison has been part of the problem of late.

He is. But he is mostly used as a linebacker. Even with him playing receiver. There is no one to get him the ball consistently. He's another good player that Tisd lost.

Oh I agree. I’m just stirring the pot. Rankings are just media fodder.

Would have been awesome had he come played where his dad coaches.

Gotta wonder just how credible the dang polls are. Just don't make a whole lot of sense!
