I think it was 17 football season

Oh, ok! They went 1-9 and gave up 439 in 10 games. They improved tremendously in 2018 then on the defensive side of the ball.🏈

Yeah that’s not gonna cut it. I saw some L-K clips on Maxpreps…yeah he’ll have his work cut out for him for sure.

I’m pretty sure whoever takes over will have their work cut out for them.

Is it a done deal they won't be keeping the current HC as AD/HC?

Seems disrespectful to not give him a chance after stepping up when no one else would. If he wants it that is

I’m sure they’ll give him a shot, but he wasn’t considered in the beginning. Remember the superintendent took over for a week before he handed it to the current HC

@LPND Could probably answer that question better than me

His uncle is the 🐐 lol, I don’t know him personally but I’ve heard great things he’s young and has great energy I’m sure he would get the most out of the kids!!

I always thought it would be cool if Scott Surratt, in the twilight of his career, came back home, got the program going in the right direction, and handed it over to a family member. Kind of a story book ending. You can’t tell me that athletes from ATL would not flock to LK if SS were there. Even if he was old and on his way out.

Yeah that would be pretty cool. I do think they may need to give a hometown guy a chance. There are a couple of Linden guys that are coaching. Justin Watson and Greg Gaston both have a ton of experience as coordinators. Give one of them a shot at it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Gaston is also a preacher in Carthage and his wife is a teacher in Carthage, and Watson’s wife is an administrator in Carthage.   Both families would just want to come back to their hometowns because the salaries definitely would not be much of an upgrade, if any.

I would say they would both lose money on that deal then.
