Can you still purchase tickets at the gate for Longview games? Since there is no game at 🌹 Stadium this Friday. I figure I might as well come see my second favorite player in the state of Texas play this Friday. I've been watching Longview play every week on YouTube. I figured this would be a good time to watch him in person. I'm a call this game the Bossie Bash since it's for the district championship.

I believe so although i’m not 100% sure.

Reserved seats on home side,  general admission on the visitor side.

You can buy reserved seating at the gate if you want to sit on the home side, or buy general admission on the away side.

Bring your card.

I would disagree. Skyline may have he best linebacking core in the state.

I don't agree, but I also don't think Legend played against Skyline.

Who starts at QB for Longview?

Never a good sign when you have to ask that question this late in the season.

That's something that should be locked in Week 1.

Sure... So when he had a bad week, we switched things up late in the game. Was that a one-off for a bad night or permanent? When he switched to Haynes in 17, it was permanent. At some point, Thomas was permanent in 21.

Should be permanent because he’s been bad more than he’s been good but something tells me it’s not. Is what it is at this point,  just gonna enjoy the next few weeks.

This is for the District Championship. Two legitimate, solid football teams, with one very common goal...win and take the trophy. There may be several different district scenarios that might hold back on the final declaration of who the Champ is, but except for North Forney needing to win this week and next week, would be tough to do.

-Longview is, well the Lobos are the favorites to win out,

-North Forney could, but... the Falcons are good, but are they that good. Lobos, then Yellowjackets?

-Rockwall with Heath and then North Forney is two big weeks in a row needed for the Jackets, they have a good possibility to do this.

-Forney fighting their way through Legacy and Heath is no guarantee, but very do-able.

-Heath with Rockwall then Forney is the upset making football schedule, can Coach Webb's team do it, absolutely.

-Legacy slipping away and then capping off the season at Forney is set to be close to the bottom

-And for my Royse City Bulldogs... hosting Longview will be a first, for the last game of the season, but the future is very bright for the Bulldogs, with an 8-1 Freshman squad coming on strong.

My prediction for the Longview vs. North Forney game. Longview can win this game and North Forney's running game is 'legendary' with 'Legend' Bey, but Longview's near loss to Heath was not unexpected because Heath is a good football team led by a 'legendary' coach. What I consider was Heath's upset loss was against Legacy, but Legacy will be really tested again this week against Forney. I think we will see a high scoring game between North Forney and Longview.

Predictions This Week in District 10-6A

 Longview 47 North Forney 39.

Rockwall 44 Rockwall-Heath 38

Forney 41 Tyler-Legacy 17

Royse City 1 Open Week 0

Predictions for 2024 District 10-6A Finish

1. Longview

2. Rockwall

3. North Forney

4. Forney

5. Rockwall-Heath

6. Tyler-Legacy

7. Royse City

If Longview gives up 39 to NF, we will not get past the second round.

I don't believe they will be getting past the 2nd round regardless...

I believe Legacy will finish 5th and Heath will finish 6th. I don't see Heath beating Rockwall. Even if Heath beats Forney and Forney beats Legacy. Legacy will have the head to head win over Heath. They both will only have 2 wins in district.

That wasn't permanent until bi-district week vs Magnolia. Allen started vs Tyler on senior night.

I've heard rumors, but until I see it on the field...Rowe is QB1.

Forney is 1-3 in district, Heath is 1-3 in district and Legacy is 2-3 in district.

If Forney beats Legacy, but Heath beats Forney, then all will end tied at 2-4.

Legacy only having a 1 point win over Heath screws them on a 3-way tie. Definitely would come down to the point differential between Forney and Heath at that point.

Berry typically takes a handle on those kinds of players. Let's hope he does here.

What!!!??? You definitely didn’t watch QB #16 for Rockwall-Heath against us last week then. And, he was NOTHING ELITE. We just continuously overran plays and gave up 3rd & 99 yards all damn night. If, North Forney’s QB is anything remotely close to ELITE, our azzes are in MAJOR trouble this coming Friday night.

All you have to do is go back a few short weeks that we have been playing and reflect back on the opposing teams’ quarterbacks and it SHOULD remind you very, vividly of what we’re up against. Look at what SOC’s QB done to us this year. I’m NOT optimistic that our defense will do what they need to do against athletic QB’s. They’ve unfortunately EARNED that reputation this year……..

Um, Prosper Neal ran 11 times for 62 yards. As a team they had 14 first downs. Heath scored one offensive touchdown. That's pretty good for a defense "giving up 3rd and 99 all night".

And I have it on good authority that North Forney doesn’t have as much pocket presence, so we should be good 🤣

As bad as Bey was a passer last year he has still improved. Horn would only let him throw balls to the flats. North Forney allows him to throw it down field and we does complete them they tend to be big plays. I believe he threw for 743 yards last year. He will go over a 1000 yards this year. North Forney runs it so much that corners tend to creep up which allows them to hit big pass plays every so often. To limit Forney you have to control the edges and Longview has the team speed to do that.

As for District Standings, there are three very good football teams besides the obvious team at Longview. Forney and North Forney coming out of the same school district are very good and both being in Class 6A this year is a testament to the talent in that district and they are having a tremendous amount of growth.  They will continue to be two schools that will rise in the standings. Rockwall is the other school in that group of talented athletes. Heath may be down a little this year, but Coach Webb is building that talent that he has. There are now three Class 6A schools in Rockwall County. Why is that a thought of any importance, well Rockwall County is the smallest county in Texas, only 12 square miles and closing in on nearly 10,000 high school students. But the fastest growing school in that county, may not be Rockwall or Heath, but instead it is probably Royse City. Royse City's talent is also one of the fastest growing, with the once smallest high school in the county, now boasts of having an elite Freshman football team. The Bulldog Frosh, lost only in a controversial game against Legacy, and they will round out their near perfect season next week against Longview at Royse City. Lots of fun facts going on in this, what I consider, a very competitive district and maybe one of the most athletic districts in the state.
