Carthage (7-1, 3-0) @ Rusk (2-6, 1-2)

The Dawgs are getting ready for a playoff run. There are no weaknesses on this team. Great offense and great defense. The one area they need to work on is blocking downfield. I don’t know how many TD’S have been called back for holding downfield.
Jett has thrown the ball to 8 different receivers per game and the one two punch at running back and the time Jett is getting to find a receiver is crazy.
Dawg defense is holding teams to zero yards rushing in the first half. That is unheard of in todays high school football.

Absolutely no weakness . Surratt sizing up the players already! Rings . If it wasn’t for Kilgore , this could be the greatest team of all time!

Bullard beat Rusk.  That's all you guys need to know.

Carthage beating up another weak team!  I think they should spot Rusk a couple of Touchdowns and start the Jv in the first half!

Center was undefeated, Athens was 5 and 1. Both games were well in hand by half time. Chapel Hill was minus rushing yards and no first downs in the first half. Kilgore did a great job against Carthage. I would love to see that game again with a healthy QB and the 4 missing starters. Who knows how it would turn out. It would be another great game.
Carthage has gotten better in every game.

I believe PG would be first in the third round as they would be the 1 seed.

As long as P G beats Van or gets beat by just a few points(11 or less I believe)..............P G will be pretty heavily favored, but Van has the potential to upset.

How many more weeks before Carthage actually has to play a full game?

If Carthage is hitting on all cylinders the next 4 games, then the day after Thanksgiving………Round 2 of the playoffs if having a bad game.

If we take care of business vs Pitt next week, we will be seeing the Dawgs Nov 14/15th.  If it happens I hope they flip for home & home.

So there is a chance this could be a home game and not a neutral site?  Alright!!!

I think so.  If these two teams play - Carthage & SH - there is no reason to play at Pine Tree, Lobo, Kilgore, or Marshall.  Just flip for home and keep the money.

There have been times when one team is heavily favored that the weaker team's coach would just agree to the night of the game(Thurs, Fri or Sat), the officials, and to play at the favored team's homefield, just to keep the favored coach happy in hopes the score doesn't get too out of hand.

But S H and Carthage will/would be a game with no favorite -   2 evenly matched teams going toe for toe.

Absolutely! Not your typical 1 vs 4 first round game.

A game with no favorite? That’s a load of crap! Carthage beats SH by 40 plus points!
