Henderson (6-3) (3-2) @ Lindale (4-5) (2-3)

Recommended Posts

Playoffs come a week early this year for these two teams.

Lindale coming off of a tough loss to a talented Pine Tree team in overtime by a score of 13-7

Henderson coming off of a beatdown at the hands of a Chapel Hill team that seemed to be on a mission.

Winner earns the chance to play the winner of District 10. Loser starts basketball season.

Thoughts?

Again, talking purely about match ups here. Lindale is at their best when they are running down hill. Henderson very similar. Neither team can throw the ball particularly well. I think the Lindale’s front 7 will give them the edge in this game. However, I think if Henderson’s offense gets going I don’t think Lindale has the fire power to keep up in a high scoring game. Low scoring give me Lindale; if it breaks into the 20s give me Henderson

  • Mavchamp changed the title to Henderson (6-3) (3-2) @ Lindale (4-5) (2-3)

I just don’t know. Inconsistent. While Henderson is much improved we haven’t played well in weeks. If you want to move on something gotta get better.  We should have taken care of business, mistakes have consequences!

Based on what I saw in Henderson last night, I'm leaning toward Lindale. Henderson had a fantastic first drive then couldn't score again until that last few minutes of the game. Turnovers, penalties....not the team that played Kilgore.

Oh, and #2 went out of the game limping and did not return after this run in the third quarter. Looks like his left leg got rolled up.

This one won’t be close. Lindale is clearly the stronger team and has the experience in high-stakes games. Henderson’s players haven’t seen this kind of spotlight before; they’ve been out of the running for too long. Plus, it’s happening at Eagles Stadium. I’m taking Lindale in a 31-7 win. Henderson isn’t much different than a year ago. Weaker schedule squeaking by bad football teams.

Disagree. Think Lindale scores plenty (more than 21) this week and moves on to play the D10 Champion.

If number 2 is injured they maybe would put number 22 in, he's a pretty good back  also. a bigger back but a Sophomore  maybe mix him up in there.i hope  number 2 would be ok.

I'm hoping for some henderson wins maybe will give coach some confidence to schedule carthage again supposedly the 7th -9th grade group is the one the coach is waiting for not really sure why though carthage blew the 8th and 9th out last year

Henderson is a lot different than last year...6 wins vs 2 from '23.  They're playing competitively, more disciplined.  They've not made it over the hump yet, but it's coming.

Wins over who? Much easier schedule in 24… same product on the field outside of Kilgore game…
