That only happens in the case of deaths to both.....a Vice President would have to be appointed and then approved by the senate, just as it happened during the 70s with Ford being selected the VP and then became President when Nixon resigned. Thus becoming the ONLY person to NEVER be elected to the offices of Vice President and President.

I am very glad that the PEOPLE of the United States decided their nation elections yesterday. I hope that in the BEST interest of the COUNTRY, that the new president can bring the country together. I understand that there are people out there that will continue to HATE the man, but it is time for those people to get over it. It is time for some COMMON SENSE governing in this country. While WE THE PEOPLE will never agree 100% of the time, keeping our country FREE is more important than whether some guy sends out "mean" tweets, or some person cackles.....

I know that our liberal friends had a rough night, but they are all welcome to hang out on this website and continue to argue for what they think is correct. Finding COMMON ground only comes from hearing the ideas of everyone. 

What the future holds we will never know, but in reality, what goes on in Washington DC has very little effect on my real life. But it would be wonderful to pay lower prices for some things and have my investments climb even higher, so that when I do retire, I can travel the WORLD, without worries. (Of course, I will have to sell most of my baseball cards for that to happen......)

Yes, that's correct, however I was referring to the presiding over the counting of the EVs and certification of the election.

Im glad we had a clear winner last night. Trump did better than many expected with Hispanics and young people and probably with black Americans. I think the chaos at the border really hurt Harris and the "She is for they/them" ads were very effective for the repubs...but ultimately this was election was decided on "bread and butter" issues. When James Carville said "Its the economy, stupid" back in 1992 he was not kidding.
