And see, I could ask a similar question about why y'all despise home schooling so much. I mean, if you wanna make the argument that you think it threatens your job, sure, I'd get that argument. But if the only argument is "homeschooling is bad because the government said so, and they know best", I think that's a much, much weaker argument.

It doesn't threaten my job, because there are MANY more people who don't want their kids at home than really do. The government is worthless when it comes to education.....they want to blame the "soldiers" (teachers) in the field, not the commanders that ordered them down the road.

The reason homeschooling is bad.

1. People do NOT have to follow the same rules and testings that public school teachers have to.

     a. the classes and requirements to graduate are different and there is NO STAAR test for home schooled kids.

     b. to be fair, either ALL home schoolers take the tests or public schools shouldn't have to. Rules for thee, not me.

2. I say this with GREAT CONFIDENCE--90% of ALL home schooled students are at home for these reasons.

     a. they are disrespectful and disturb classrooms, they are :poop:s

     b. they are so socially awkward that they cannot handle being is a setting with more than 1 person.

     c. their parents bring them home because they think something "woke" is being taught. (Government)

          1. TEA/Government tells every teacher what to teach in Texas......so who's to blame for wokeness in Texas?

     d. they live so far from a school that it is waste of time to attend a brick and mortar school. See West Texas

3. How do I know all these things. Because I have experienced them

     a. parents think they can do a better job, yet once they realize their student is a :poop:, we get them back

     b. I worked in a town 60 miles from the border in West Texas--ranches 30-50 miles away, did not school kids

          1. 2 hours on buses each way. Waste of time, I understand that. plus needed to work at home

     c. when home school parents bring them back to public education, they are further behind than before.

          1. making more work for teachers, trying to catch them up so they can pass that wonderful test

I don't hate home schooling, I wish more of the parents would do it, if they actually taught their students, then they would find out just what :poop:s they are sending us daily.

Maybe you fall in the 10%, maybe you don't.....I am not grading your kids work. But you asked for reasons....I gave you the reasons. And it's NOT all about the government.......And to top it off.....it IS 31 years of educational experience, seeing it with MY own eyes.

Nothing wrong with that.

But let me follow it up with this: Why do a good number of people, including many wealthier people send their kids to private schools and boarding schools, including a lot of politicians, instead of public schools? Is "private school" education really that much better? By the way, I know I'm sort of countering my own point here, but in Texas if I'm not mistaken, home schools are considered private schools.

Well, I don't necessarily know about wealthier. I mean, my sister even sends her kids to private Catholic school. And apparently she pays extra because neither she nor her husband is Catholic. And yes, that's how you write that.

Yeah, I suppose that there's something to be said about some studies, and methodology is important, but a study like "Traffic is getting worse" makes me say, "Well, yeah...you spent hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars for that?"

There are more than that.  Watching hamsters fight ?  Observing quails having sex while on cocaine ?  Studying transgender monkey's by attempting to induce it with female hormones to male monkeys brought to you by Dr. Fauci at a cost of $477,121.  There's more  Watchdog calls out the government's most ridiculous spending

Far right= extreme conservatism.  I think religious cults, tight wallets, less government, more state rights.
Far left= well, basically what we have in California.  More government control, extreme activism, free living (basically, being free sexually), and lots of government spending.

I do think there are a lot of democrats that are middle left, the real problem becomes when they are too afraid to vote against some stupid Far left policy due to retaliation from their own party.

The old yellow dogs are just as immoral as the far left if they don’t speak against it and just vote with them.  Hell Tulsi Gabbard has more balls than some men who won’t speak up
