Update: Georgia not done. There is a 12 team playoff.

They still have to beat Tennessee and Georgia Tech.......I'm not sure a 3 loss team even comes close to a playoff invitation.....except by those that think the SEC is the only conference that plays football.......

And might avoid a Georgia rematch.

4 teams of right now still control their own destiny in the SEC.....Texas, A&M, LSU & Tennessee......2 Don't play each other, LSU and Tennessee don't play each other, but LSU has Bama tonight & Tennessee is at Georgia next week....A&M has the easiest schedule until they play Texas, then if LSU beats Bama, then their schedule is pretty light.

Texas Fans really need LSU to beat Bama, and both win out....then Texas can give LSU their 3rd loss and get into the playoffs. Of course that also means that Georgia beats Tennessee, but they might just roll over after today.....

UAB loses to UConn after leading 20-3. Trent Dilfer has run UAB into the ground!

Kinda of bad hire . Many coaches were upset because they've worked so hard to be a head coach, and they were passed over for a sports commentator.

yep.  They were considering the winner of LSU/Alabama to still be a strong contender coming into last week, both with 2 losses.  I don't know why Georgia wouldn't also be considered still.

SEC Tiebreaker Rules

In the event of a tie between teams competing for a place in the Conference championship game, the following procedures will be used in descending order until the tie is broken:

        1. Head-to-head competition among the tied teams

        2. Record versus all common Conference opponents among the tied teams

        3. Record against highest (best) placed common Conference opponent in the Conference standings, and proceeding through the Conference standings among the tied teams

        4. Cumulative Conference winning percentage of all Conference opponents among the tied teams

        5. Capped relative total scoring margin versus all Conference opponents among the tied teams

        6. Random draw of the tied teams

If the regular season standings determine a clear Conference champion and two or more teams are tied for second place, the Conference champion will be the home team in the Championship Game and the tiebreaking procedures will be used to determine its opponent.

Easiest Way to the Championship Game.....Win out by A & M, Texas, & Tennessee...........

A&M has--Auburn/Texas

Texas has-Arkansas/Kentucky/A&M

Tennessee has-Georgia/Vandy

That's not an easy path to win out for any of those 3 teams.
