Is Hooks better than Quitman? Based on score GS didn't exactly put on a clinic last week.

I thought so too.
I think this game is going to be a lot closer than people think. Grand Saline will pull it out but I bet it’s within two scores for sure.

That was also Grand Salines 1st time playing on a Grass field, it was raining. Very muddy and we had our Best Defensive Lineman out. Trust me. If it wouldn’t have been raining it would have been a lot worse. And don’t even get me started on the flags. There was a flag every minute of the game.

GS very good---just don't think they have the depth to make it out of region

Yea we don’t have a lot of Backups. But are starters have all been healthy thank God. Are best defensive lineman is coming back this week for the Hooks game. I feel like if we play hard and stick to what we do best we can make it past Woodville or at least make it a close game!

Something is going on in Hooks, watching that DeKalb game it looked like their kids just quit playing. I have never seen a Hooks team stop playing hard like that. Might be time to make a switch if they can't get the kids to even play 4 quarters

They gotta come ready to Play. Drennon will have the GS kids ready. They will play hard all 4 quarters.

Hooks seemed to be as advertised from top to bottom. More concerned with bumping their gums & unnecessary extracurriculars after the whistle than lining up & playing ball. It’s disappointing to see that behavior being condoned, or dare I say encouraged. That might’ve contributed to them getting monkey stomped by 40+ instead of GS letting off the gas a little sooner. The officiating crew looked like they were scared to death of their main mouthpiece & let far too many things go across the board. Glad to see it play out like it did.

Might be time for a change

You might be right. I’d say the vast majority of the time, that’s not typical or natural behavior for kids that age playing sports. Sure, you’re going to run across that bad apple every now & then that’s just a turd, but it’s not common to see most of the team act in the same manner. It’s more common to see the coaching staff discipline kids for it, from what I’ve seen! I definitely feel like it’s been taught & encouraged by someone that has influence over them, whether it be coaches, parents, or both. Not my circus, not my monkeys. Lol, just what was observed.

Were you at the game or did you watch it live?

What did you think about GS? What game are you attending this week?

GS seems to keep it simple on both sides of the ball & they’re efficient at what they do. They have some menaces on the defensive side & the potential to be a handful for anyone out there right now. It was nice to see that they’re not as one-dimensional offensively as it seemed. QB is smart & goes through his reads very well & explosive on the ground. RB isn’t going to run away from a lot of teams, but he’s strong & runs hard downhill. He’s a handful & takes a toll on a defense after a little while. They have a couple solid WR targets & my understanding is the Prox kid is just a sophomore. It looks like he has the tools to be something special. There’s teams out there that are going to out-athlete them & the lack of depth could hinder them down the line, but they are capable of making serious noise, in my opinion. We will see. This will be a test this week for sure.

Did you pick Woodville or GS in this one?
