Coach Rab Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 There are a lot more interesting games than the 7 or so listed below, but I stuck to what we normally watch plus the likely ranked vs ranked match-ups and my 1 late night highlight. I also did not include rankings this week since they now happen on Tuesday night... which is also stupid since there are games on Tuesday nights... but whatever, its the NCAA. Texas at Arkansas 11:00 AM ABC Clemson at Pitt 11:00 AM ESPN LSU at Florida 2:30 PM ABC Tennessee at Georgia 6:30 PM ABC New Mexico State at Texas A&M 6:45 PM SEC Network Kansas at BYU 9:15 PM ESPN
DannyZuco Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 The Tulane @ Navy game might be pretty good also, Could knock Tulane out of the rankings.
Lion7000 Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Tennessee @ Georgia . Is interesting Dawgs must win that one for a possible playoff berth. 9-3 simply isn’t good enough! Texas @ Arkansas could be interesting you never know! South Carolina vs Mizzou could be as well!
WETSU Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Texas getting Arkansas at 11am is a big advantage. I think that game had potential to be tricky if it was a night game. Arkansas will play it like their Super Bowl but you’re not gonna have the same type of crowd at 11am. Texas by 17.
VerumDixit Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 They did Georgia no favors with the scheduling this year.

Correct on the timing. Most will be too hung over to yell very loud.

I'll be at this game. I've been to a few Arkansas early morning games and you're right, the crowd is not all there. Especially since they have been on a steady decline the past few weeks.
RETIREDFAN1 Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 Boise State and San Jose State is a good game.....21 all in the 3rd......

Arizona State remarkable turnaround and Colorado will be in the playoffs. Leaving Iowa State and byu high and dry lol!
DannyZuco Posted November 17, 2024 Posted November 17, 2024 How does A&M stay so lowly ranked.....I mean they actually control their own destiny to the SEC championship, and yet 4 other SEC teams are ahead of them. I mean Alabama has a terrible loss to Vandy. Tennessee a terrible loss to Arkansas Ole Miss has 2 bad losses to Kentucky & LSU..... But we all know the goal of the "playoff" committee.....allow a couple of others in and make sure the SEC & Big 10 get all the other spots, even with 3 losses. The NCAA playoff system is a joke, because all they care about is the money, not the sport or the regular season.

Texas hasn't done what all other SEC teams have (minus Georgia), and that's slip up with a BAD loss. I hear the argument "Texas dodged LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Tennessee"... Well, let's look into that. - Alabama lost @ Vandy, 40-35 (Texas won @ Vandy, 27-24) - Tennessee lost @ Arkansas, 19-14 (Texas won @ Arkansas, 20-10) - LSU lost @ Florida, 27-16 (Texas won at home vs Florida, 49-17) - Ole Miss lost at home to Kentucky (Texas plays Kentucky at home this weekend) Disbanding the divisions will get you this. It's not Texas' fault that the defending champs and OU turned out to be butt cheeks.

Oklahoma wasn’t as fortunate and their bowl streak is in jeopardy! I like the divisions but A&M and Tex really was lucky they avoided Alabama and ole miss!

Oklahoma wasn’t as fortunate and their bowl streak is in jeopardy! I like the divisions but A&M and Tex really was lucky they avoided Alabama and ole miss! Were they? How do we know for sure that Texas and A&M lose to Bama and Ole Miss if they played? Both those teams lost to teams sitting at the bottom of the SEC. Neither Texas nor A&M have done that this year (so far). Texas and A&M are in the same boat in the sense that they have zero current top 25 wins. But if both had cake walk teams on their schedule (specifically Texas), then why have these other teams lost to those same cake walk teams? When A&M played LSU, LSU was sitting at the top of the conference with 1 loss. Now they have 4. Is that Texas A&M's fault? Not at all. Some SEC team is going to land a super easy schedule every year. It's just the way the conference has ended up that impacts the scheduling. You get your 3 rivalries and then everything else is thrown into a hat. It's bound to happen. Texas and A&M both benefited from 2 out of the 3 rivalry teams being down.
