Lobo2020 Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Another huge test for our defense. Southlake is about how Rockwall typically is. Don’t play much defense but they’ve been scoring at will.
Bowl Weevil Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Longview speed will be the difference in this one.

VonG Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 (edited) Well we finally get to see a match up a lot of fans have been hoping for. Edited December 8, 2024 by VonG
EastTexasKnowItAll Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 (edited) SLC will be coached up a little better. DLine technique was nonexistent by desoto. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy in Mathis. Pretty similar to what he got in his time in East Texas. Carroll has scored enough points against faster teams then LV. Weather definitely worked In Lobos favor today but King and company put on a master class. Good luck to Longview next week. Edited December 8, 2024 by EastTexasKnowItAll 1 1
LoboFan07 Posted December 8, 2024 Author Posted December 8, 2024 Longview finished with just 10 passing yards on the night. That is the fewest passing yards since finishing with 10 against North Little Rock back in 2012 (as a Lobo win). Fewest amount in a playoff game since just grabbing 8 against South Garland in 2003. Fewest amount in a playoff game that Longview won since finishing with 8 as well back in 1986 against Highland Park...another Quarterfinal game. Hopefully next week doesn't end like that season did the following week vs Plano.

Lion7000 Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 This will be extremely difficult! Longview gotta play without mistakes and do what they’re best at!
BoyzNdaHood Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Lobos by 10 and punch their ticket to state!!

Van ISD streamed their game against Carthage live on YouTube Friday night. That's right, no subscription to NFHS, or whatever you call it! Longview posted their full game against DeSoto shortly after it concluded. I watched it also on YouTube. I tried looking up your games and at the bottom of the broadcast it states, due to UIL playoff restrictions this game is audio only. This is what you posted on YouTube after the game was over. Just for this, I hope Longview takes your forked tongue and strangles you with it! A lot of teams do that.
Hardcore Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 Both teams have strong histories and state championship success, setting the stage for an exciting game. Southlake Carroll features a talented offense and a solid, structured defense, creating a balanced team dynamic. Longview, with excellent coaching and skilled players on both offense and defense, has proven they can compete at the highest level, especially with their performance against Desoto. Go Lobos!
Eagleborn Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 How can you not love a good underdog story. Go Bos’ 2
iRockNewbzz Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Looks like SLC has played 3 close games past 3 weeks. Would be awesome to get out in front by couple scores and see how they handle adversity
christheace1 Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 GO LOBOS!!! I was at my first ever road game last night and I picked a great one to be at!!! Statement made!!! Let's run it back and do it again against SLC!!! 1

Careful. Don’t start talking about excellent coaching for Longview. That’s not looked on too favorably around these parts.
