fiftysix
i will agree with you razorcut about white oak fans thinking we've taken the shaft a lot....spring hill fans are so much more humble about those kinds of things. i NEVER see spring hill fans yelling at the umpires/referees/officials!!! or talking about how they got jipped on something.....NEVER EVER!!! bob cousy
I have always been told that the Jaacksonville-Palestine game during Bill Bradleys senior year was a classic. I believe that Palestine won the game 7-0 and went on to win state. I think I am right about this, correct if I am wrong Sandman.

GTownDesperado
I think that the 2004 Rusk/Palestine game should get some consideration. That was one heck of a game.

Cats Scalp Indians 8-7 From the 64-65 Arc Light Palestine's Jerry Reeder, a murderous weapon of a fullback, roamed almost at will against Jacksonville's Indians as the Cats retained their District 7AAA crown with a well played 8-7 victory. The great senior was sent clashing through the line time and time again against Redskin strategy that was already zeroed in on the rest of the Cat backs. The Cats amassed 18 first downs and 223 yards on the ground to Jacksonville's five first downs and 118 rushing yards, however, the Indians managed to keep their end zone clean until the final six minutes of play. That's when Fullback Jerry Reeder plowed three yards into the paydirt and then carried the conversion over for the deciding two points in the game. Earlier, Ronnie Jones had fumbled the ball away on the 40, and Jacksonville mounted a quick touchdown drive that shot them into the lead 7-0 at the half. Palestine punched within scoring distance the second time it got the ball, driving from its own 26 to the Jacksonville 12 before the defense finally bristled up and held the vicious Cat onslaught. Jacksonville needed only 4 plays to get on the scoreboard after taking advantage of the Cat fumble in the second quarter. A pitchback from Jacksonville Richie Robinson to half, Jerry Minter, took the ball to the Palestine 8 yard line, where Robinson passed to end, Jimmy Cavaness, in the end zone. Palestine retaliated with a drive that required 13 plays, as the Cats battled methodically against the clock and against the Indians frantic defenses. Palestine never fared a fourth down situation in the series of plays. Reeder carried the ball the last times, picking up 2, 4, and 3 yards in knifing into the end zone, then taking the ball again for the extra points.
