Heard this afternoon where the average time an inmate in California spends on death row before execution is 20 years.

i think he will, otherwise the jury wouldnt have tagged the special circumstances onto their verdict.

im anti death penalty because im willing to pay taxes so that these kind of jerks rot in a place like pelican bay. (no chance of parole)

I think life in prison is a better punishment...sitting in a cell next to boyfriend bubba thinking about it for 50 years...sounds like a good punishment to me.

Or if they don't want to pay for him to stay in jail forever they could just drop him off in the middle east with a George W Bush costume on...

But remember, there is no life without parole. If he gets life, he will come up for parole sooner or later. In California, usually sooner.

I do agree with the death penalty. If they would actually kill people for killing others, people would not be killed as much. If the killer knows they will die for killing someone and not just put in jail, they will most likely not kill that innocent person. I believe in the hand for a hand and eye for an eye. i wish they would do what they did in the old days. If someone killed someone they were killed; if someone stole, their hand was cut off; and so on.

its unlikely that Peterson would get anything less than life without parole. at least thats what the news kept saying:w00t:

I don't think he gets the death penalty. I'm a big fan of it, though.

Unless California has changed their laws, there is no such thing as life without parole. In most places they judge a life sentence on a 60 year span. Generally speaking they would have to serve 30 before coming up for parole. A life sentence doesn't mean life without parole. Unfortunately. But hey you may be right, California might have a life without parole option. But I didn't think so. We'll see.

I'm not totally for the death penalty or against....but I think if we are going to execute murders, lets do away with lethal injection and bring back the electric chair!!! Or better yet...the guillotine and public executions!!!:evil2: LOL...I'm only half kidding.

I am for anything that is a contradiction..Punish someone who commits a murder...by murdering them.

I'm also in favor of child abusers being molested in prison, if that helps establish things.

I'd rather make him sit in jail for the rest of his life and think about it...I think thats a worse punishment, kind of an unending mental anguish. Actually I think they should make him write an apology letter to the Rochas once a week while he's in jail to make sure he doesn't forget, at least with death theres finality. Prison is a worse punishment.

i know a prison guard, he said that child molesters dont last long in prison. with the kind of publicity that peterson got, i dotn think he will last long in a place like pelican bay without some major security.

Exactly.

Remember Jeffrey Dahmer? The gay necrophiliac/cannibal murderer? Some crazy black prisoner stabbed him while he was doing bathroom detail.

Too much publicity...Peterson better watch his back in prison.:nono:
