sppunk Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 My fiance and I are looking to go to either Estes Park or Vail next May. Anyone vouch for either/or?
DirkDiggler Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Estes PArk ....not to many distractions
sppunk Posted November 16, 2004 Author Posted November 16, 2004 But is there enough to offer a couple who isn't huge into hiking and the like?
Voted4Dubya Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 I heard Estes Park is a really nice place. Lots of hiking trails. Plus another really cool thing they have is the hotel where the Shining was filmed.
Baseballbabe Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 Durango CO is gorgeous you can ride a steam train to Silverton its an amazing ride. beautiful I cant wait to go back. or Angel Fire New Mexico if you want to go there...
Pudge Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 Make sure you tell everyone there your from Texas. I don't know what it is about Colorado, but they love Texans. Just let'em know where your from and you'll get great treatment from the locals. Be sure to wear clothes with Texas Sports teams as well, really advertise your state.
Voted4Dubya Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 Ruidoso, New Mexico is also a really nice place.

Colorado is our backyard playground; they should kiss our manly footwear for stimulating their economy....:w00t: . . . :cat:
Five0pd310 Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 I only go to Colorado to snow ski. So my choice would be Keystone or Monarch. I don't know anything about the 2 places you listed, so I'll go on about my business now. LOL.
