BigRocky99
Yep, it will be interesting. From what I heard on ESPN and FSN, he is not planning on actually pitching til June. I am not sure if he will even come back at all. Of course, he says he isn't sure himself. I think the big thing will be the $$$. How much will he or his agents want for a partial season and how much will the Astros be willing to pay? The Bosox and Yanks will pay him his asking price or at least I figure they will. Yet, he won't get to live at home in Houston, skip away travel unless he is pitching, etc if he signs with them. It will be interesting.
waggleright
Roger made some comment about how he has been throwing bp alot lately and that it wouldn't take much to get him back into shape. It seemed early on that the main reason he might not play this year was not wanting to work back into playing shape. From the sound of this comment, sounds like he's on the way back, hopefully to the stros.
Aggie2008
The Astros are doing well enough that he will want to sign with them. I think one of his concerns with Houston was that they did not improve as much as he wanted them to (the offense, especially) but a month into the season we're off to our best start in quite a while. Should be fun to see who he goes to. There have been some reports, though, that the Astros may not be as willing to pay as much money to Clemens because quite frankly thier young starting pitching has been OUTSTANDING so far. What they could do, though, is send Nieve to the bullpen and send down Astacio to make room for Clemens. Backe will be back sometime in late May to mid June so they will have to figure out roster spots then as well. Would he consider being a closer, since Lidge has been so bad this year? Probably not. He wants to be a starter. They have some key roster decisions to make because honestly if you have good, young pitchers you want them to be able to play as much as possible.
