BigRedFan
In the past, Winnsboro has been badly beaten by Spring Hill. Will the humilation continue or will Winnsboro get a win this year. Thoughts and predictions on this game?? Are the injured players for both teams going to be able to play?
eastTEXASfan
I think Winnsboro takes it this year by a couple TDs..

softballman
Who is hurt for Winnsboro? How bad? So they are looking pretty good this year, great! Since spring hill doesn't have their stud in the backfield, I pick Winnsboro by 10. BUT spring hill did stop the raiders option last year. BAD... going to be a good game. TheNatureBoy16times
I like Spring Hill in this game. I know Winnsboro has looked good this far in the season, but I feel Spring Hill will be ready to make a statement after getting embarrassed last week. I like Spring Hill 28 to Winnsboro's
Duderino
I'm going to pick Spring Hill based on size and athleticism although Winnsboro has a good club. Spring Hill 31 Winnsboro
TwoMorrows
If Spring Hill can keep the penalties and turnovers down, I see them giving the Homecoming crowd something to cheer about! Spring Hill 21 Winnsboro
BigRedFan
If Winnsboro can keep the mistakes down and excute like they are capable of doing, I say that Winnsboro will take this game. Winnsboro 31 Spring Hill 28 Once again, the game may come down to the leg of Jake the Snake.
wildcat50
i heard shankle will be back for this one. Any truth to this?
nothinbutnet07
Shankle should be back... can't expect him to play both ways... my guess is he will play safety in the game instead of running back limiting his sharp cuts that could be hard on his knee... HHS90
Originally posted by softballmandoes anyone know if shankle is going to play? Per Longview New Journal this week. Shankle set for SH return By JOE HALE Tuesday, September 26, 2006 The anticipated return of Spring Hill tailback DeMikel Shankle is slated for Friday's game against Winnsboro. The senior, who injured his right knee in the third quarter of the season opener against Lindale on Sept. 1, has passed both strength and running tests in recent days and has received a doctor's clearance to play, according to Spring Hill coach Robert Bero. Shankle returned to practice Monday and indications are he will play in the Panthers' homecoming game. "I'm ready to get back, play and contribute," the senior said, following an afternoon workout. "Today was a learning day for us. We ran some, but not a lot." Since his injury, the Panthers have also lost tailbacks Cody Hendricks and Jake Fudge. Hendricks suffered a season-ending torn ACL on Sept. 8. Fudge, a sophomore, highlighted a 31-28 victory over Pleasant Grove with 211 yards rushing and three touchdowns on Sept. 15. He also injured his right hand and has since undergone surgery. His return is listed as week-to-week. "We can make all the excuses we want to about losing players and this and that, but that's nothing more than an excuse," Bero said Monday afternoon. "Our running back, no matter who we put in there, is going to run hard and play hard." Max Garcia started as the tailback in last week's loss to Chapel Hill, where he rushed for 106 yards on 24 carries. Winnsboro is the Panthers' final non-district game prior to opening District 15-3A play at White Oak on Oct. 13. Spring Hill has an open date on Oct. 6. Shankle suffered a torn ACL in the third game of the 2005 season and missed the final seven games.

wildcat50
I understand the importance of shankle to the team, so why would you risk re-injury against a non-district opponent?
