TigerDad2005
I say Coach Irwin steps up to the plate and refuses to let these boys down. Changes will be made, even this late in the season. We will still struggle on defense due to adjusting to the changes, but we will be stronger on defense. I say he comes out ready to win and cuts these boys loose to do what they do best on offense. May still not be enough to beat Tatum but will keep us in the running for the third playoff position.
Tatum_DirtyBird
Been about 15 years since I kept up with any 2A. From what I can tell, 19-2A is pretty tough. Knowing Arp and Troup will give Tatum the most comp., it will be interesting to see how we do against them. Bring your A game Arp, you will need it, Tatum is tough as nails. Ripper
Whoever the head coach is for Arp needs to take control and tell the defensive coach that he had better start putting some guys up on the line of scrimmage and stop the run. Troup was not a passing team at all and Arp NEVER had more than 3 down linemen on defense the WHOLE NIGHT. And yes, I was there. It would have been nice to see Arp's kids had a chance to win that game with their talent they have on the team. All they would have had to do is stuff the run and make Troup have to come out of thier comfort zone of running the ball and it would the score would have been flip-flopped in favor of Arp. So sad........ :crybaby:
hogwash
Tatum 50 Arp 0 Thats the score at halftime, then we are going to suit up our pee wee team the rest of the way.
Tatum_DirtyBird
lol.... let's not get carried away hogwash. At halftime, I'm looking for Tatum to be leading about 35 to 14. Ripper, when ya'll play Tatum, here's a few pointers. Don't kick deep to Tatum and bring 11 down linemen... lol I love 19-2A: GREAT FANS
Wild74
Tatum has to much talent, Arp should place third or fourth in this district Tatum 54 Arp
jacketfurlife
I have not seen either one of them play, but who are we kidding this will be another Friday night practice for Tatum.
Guest TtownEagle803
I'm gonna say Tatum by maybe 40...giving Arps speed the benefit of the doubt. Their speed will give them atleast 14 points as we score atleast 50. Welcome to 3A gone 2A. Get you some then come back for more next year!!!! Davis was hit several times at the line of scrimmage by the smallish Arp linebackers and DBs but shook off the arm tackles and sprinted for positive yardage. Eight men in the box and the score would have been worse. Tatum will have no problem beating Arp and I'm an Arp fan, but I'm also a realist. . . :cat:

They better try to learn how to WRAP UP......if they try to strip the ball...Lennon Creer will run for 600 yards. And yes hogwash......hes the guy with the green hard hat. Tell 'em what else they won Johnny. Rhino2K
Funny, when the Eagles return to mediocrity in a couple of years, some of you guys will disappear from SDC like dust in the wind. Enjoy your limelight now!
bigsportsfan
Pollard is a junior. Tatum wins this week. If Arp does not turn the ball over the score will not be as lopsided as the last couple of games. Tatum rarely started on their side of the 50 against Garrison, and ran right through everyone. Arp needs to play for field position and tackle low. Don't try to take down Creer one on one chest high, he will make you look very bad. All most teams can hope for is just to look respectable. Play smart and tell your QB to throw it away (out of bounds) or take the sack. Putting it up for grabs will always be a bad decision against Tatum. KirtFalcon
I'm not sure Arp even scores against Tatum . . . unless Tatum puts in a lot of subs which they did very little of against Garrison until the 4th qtr. Garrison had success mostly playing smash mouth physical football running the ball. Arp is more of a finess team with speed . . . except Tatum has even more speed than Arp. I don't think Arp's defense will fare as well as Garrison's defense did either. JMTOTS.
