Not jealous my man (pay attention to my signature below). I'm just saying that it might be a long time until this type of success comes your way again, but you never know. I really expect Tatum to bring home the championship trophy again this year (thanks to the drop to 2A). I have no problem with that; congrats. Just don't expect teams like Garrison, Troup and Elysian Fields to roll over and be "punching bags" each year.

Thanks to the drop to 2A huh?... let's see, last year, we could have made a pretty good run for it in 4A. We would do fine in 3A this year. Didn't you make it to the Gilmer game? Barring just 1 bad call, and they whole game is turned around. Pit Tatum against Gilmer again, and Tatum would beat them I believe. Yeah, schools have their up years and down years, but you won't see Tatum with a losing record.

Good luck Cougars... by the way, what class are ya'll

Canyon is in 26-4A.

The "2A drop" comment wasn't intended to offend. I'm honest when I say that Tatum would have a very difficult time defending their title in Class 3A. With the likes of Celina, West Orange-Stark, Giddings, and Cuero playing in Division II in the post season, I'd say that Tatum would be challenged to the limit.

Tatum doesn't have the depth to beat Gilmer this year, period. If they played Gilmer every week for ten consecutive weeks, Gilmer would end up 10-0.

Again, I wish the Eagles the best of luck! ;)

Tatum is good, but don't get ridiculous. I don't think Tatum would have won state in 2A last season . . . against either Celina or Newton!

Celina had their best team ever according to most, luckily for Tatum they didn't have to play them. :w00t:

Troup was not a passing team at all and Arp NEVER had more than 3 down linemen on defense the WHOLE NIGHT. And yes, I was there. It would have been nice to see Arp's kids had a chance to win that game with their talent they have on the team. All they would have had to do is stuff the run and make Troup have to come out of thier comfort zone of running the ball and it would the score would have been flip-flopped in favor of Arp. So sad........ :crybaby:

I am so glad you payed attention to the game. Arp runs a 3-3 stack. No wonder they had 3 down linemen.

We had 3 or 4 INTs against Garrison. You dont throw it up for grabs in our secondary without paying a price. Too much speed and jumping ability in our secondary. QB better be right on target.....throw it too short or too deep and our guys will go get it.

A couple of better questions: How good is your QB at scrambling and throwing from his backside? and How good is your offensive line at protecting against a ton of pressure?

Yeah....we send the house a lot. The majority of Garrison's QB's INTs came from the pressure getting to him and just tryin to get rid of it. You cant do that to a team with speed like Tatum.

Arps QB isnt gonna be able to set in the pocket and pick his target and rolling out against us is dangerous when you factor in how much we send the OLBs. If he doesnt mind getting his dome rocked 10 to 15 times a game, I guess he could stay in the pocket and get rid of it at the last second but thats sure gonna hurt a lot when the final buzzer sounds off.

Better hope your running game is your main priority....passing on us results in more INTs than TDs. Garrison's QB was 4 out of 16 with no TDs and 4 INTS.
