Tatum_DirtyBird
I am a little dissapointed. I had originally picked them to make a run for the 3rd spot. I know they have a good team. While I was watchin the Tatum/Garrison game, I was thinkin that Garrison was going to give the district heck. I hope you guys can get it together. Good Luck
Gtownballer07
Garrison has a great team but they have a big problem with injuries and no back up.

Texanfan220
Garrison has alot of talent but having no depth and playing in a really tough district has hurt, but don't count them out they always will play hard and put talent on the field. KirtFalcon
Garrison is worn down already due to injuries and lack of depth. After the Tatum game, I was thinking they could handle anyone else in the district. If everyone was healthy (wishful thinking), I believe they would compete for a playoff spot. If ands and buts were candy and nuts, we would all have a merry Christmas! Garrison played the worst defensive game Friday against Timpson I have seen them play in 25 years. They seemed like a beaten dog licking his wounds. I had a feeling only 20 or so players on the varsity was going to be their downfall. I just thought they would hold out till toward the end of the season before they wore down. I was wrong. With their enrollment numbers down and so few players out for football, their only salvation may be realignment and reclassification to 1A. I was told Friday Garrison is now the smallest 2A school in the state.
Medman7
Guys, It is simply a down season. Every school has to rebuild every so often. It is just hard when a town that is used to winning has to swallow a rebuilding season. It is sad the way coaches have to suffer greatly and how the players have to feel like they are letting the town down when they are probably playing their hardest. Keep your head up guys. Be satisfied in your heart that you did your best if you are giving it all you've got!!!!:happy65::happy65::happy65::happy65::happy65: Hey Kirt, Alto had to stay the smallest 2-A team for a long time before they dropped. I heard the balanced by just a few on their enrollment and stayed in 2-A by as few as 2 for a while.

thebeastlives
From Head Coach on down to the few standing on the sidelines of the Garrison Bulldogs, I can sense a bit of anger building up in side them. I can feel it 300 miles away. If the players aren't angry right now, they will be by the time pre-game rolls around for the next game. (if any of you have witnessed ol' Pink's gametime speaches...you know). I see them winning this week...the next week, who knows. Don't expect ANYONE on that team to lay down and play dead. Yea, they're down this year...that's gonna happen in schools on the 2A level (especially at the bottom). Garrison will be back. We always will be. 12 straight years in the play offs...2 appearances in the State Championship...winning one (you can't beat a 16-0 season)...look at the over all record for the Bulldogs. Need I say anymore...my fingers hurt anyway!:rocker:

bigdawg16
Your right medman. Every school eventually has a time that is not up to par for the tradition some programs build. It is simply Garrison's time to take it's lumps since it has given out a few over the past 10-12 years. Alot of teams have 2-3 year stretches were they were dang good..we were lucky and had three times that. It's not the end of the world..sure everyone would like to win each and every year..but that's just not the case for most schools. Garrison won't be down too long as long as the kids continue to work hard.
getusome
I think the Tatum game had a lot to do with the injury situation, the QB should have been pulled and not left in the game. The next week against EF the full back / MLB gets hurt and with a team of their size any injury would play a roll on their season. Dont count them out I am sure they will give it all they have the last 4 games. Good luck dawgs.
athleteinaction
I feel sorry for the seniors. Sure they won a state title their freshmen year and got a ring because the JV was pulled up for the playoffs. But look at it this way. The last time Garrison didn't make the playoffs was the year before this years seniors started kindergarten. That means growing up as a kid they were used to going and watching the varsity compete in the playoffs, and now as seniors, they will be sitting at home. That has to be hard to digest.
