ParanoidAndroid
Experience and qualifications seem to take a backseat to "electability" these days. You take a decent-looking guy with a strong yet "relatable" personality and a well financed campaign, willing to toe the party line, and you've got yourself a bonafide presidential candidate. DLeihman32878
I would vote for Obama, McCain or Giuliani.

Middle
Even though your post makes little sense through the medium of the English language, I believe you think the Texas governor has some power? Lt. Gov runs things; that would have been Mr. Perry back while Bush was here.

KirtFalcon
In the wake of 9/11, I doubt anyone with a name like Obama stands a snowballs chance in hades being elected President of the United States. :harhar:

The Texas Governor does have more power than what you would like us to believe. He has the bully pulpit, the power of the veto, the power to call sessions, etc... Also, Perry was just one of the Lt. Gov's when Bush was in office, Bob Bullock was the other.
Middle
I don't have any problem reading English. I have problems reading poorly written English. :) I'm not refuting what you are saying. I'm just wondering what it has to do with the experience of candidates you were speaking of.
50pinch
Well I'm so sorry that I didn't put the word "the" in front of the word President. I didn't realize the grammar police was out in force. I'll try to do better because if I don't I may get sent to Iraq. :whome: Keep up the good work policing the grammar. Please send me a u2u anytime I spell a word wrong or leave a comma out. Also, I'm having a hard time with my adverbs and pronouns as well as the use of prepositions. Could you please be a gentleman and lend me some of your expert scholarly advice?
