SAYwhat Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 The Lady Rabbs beat LE in 5 games tonight in Atlanta. The Lady Rabbs really stepped up .. it seemed every thing clicked. From the passers and setter and hitters and blocking. Both teams had great attacks. Its not in STONE but possibly a playoff Thursday at T High at around 7. <- But that is not set .. details when I know. Way to go Lady Rabbs!!
68Hornet Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Atlanta is to be congratulated. I sure can't figure L-E out. Not because Atlanta beat them, but the Lady Rabbs won the second game 25-8. The next game was 32-30 and the next 25-23. L-E is really underachieving in my opinion. I guess they're ready for basketball.
SAYwhat Posted October 25, 2006 Author Posted October 25, 2006 Yeah it didnt seem like many players or fans were into the game. I dont know about them being ready for basketball but, I know the Lady Rabbs aren't. We will see Thursday I guess..
gecko Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 It sounds like Atlanta played a solid match. That should give them confidence to go into Thursday's match.
cwabeg Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Should be a great match up!! Hope I get to see it. I have to agree leopard, I thought this would be the year they beat the grove, but then again the Grove has stepped it up as usual!
fatjacks Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Can't play thursday... against UIL rules. They will have to play saturday. They should flip the coin and both teams can start getting ready for their playoff opponent.
rabbsfan11 Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 Lady Rabbs played awesome last night. They really stepped their game up against LE. I'm excited to see what happens Saturday. Good luck to both teams ! GO RABBS !!!
vballsportsfan Posted October 25, 2006 Posted October 25, 2006 So, Atlanta was 2nd in district and LE 3rd?
SAYwhat Posted October 26, 2006 Author Posted October 26, 2006 Most likely at Texas High on Saturday at 3. Details if anything changes :]
SAYwhat Posted October 26, 2006 Author Posted October 26, 2006 Change of plans.. Flipping a coin. Details later
SAYwhat Posted October 26, 2006 Author Posted October 26, 2006 The Atlanta girl's were really upset about the coin toss. They were excited to play and really wanted to. But LE loss the toss and Atlanta is 2nd! They play Spring Hill Tuesday at ETBU 6. And LE plays the loser of White Oak and Gilmer right after. Goodluck to both Atl and LE.
rabbsfan11 Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Yeah I think the girls should have met up again. Atlanta has proved themselves to be 2nd. They've came a long way since preseason. I hope they do good in playoffs. GO LADY RABBS !!!!

But, RABBSFAN11, I think your statement that "Atlanta has proven themselves to be 2nd" is partially incorrect. I went back and checked, the first time these 2 two teams met LE won in four games, the last time it took 5 games for Atlanta to win. The coin toss was just to decide who went where in the playoff bracket. These two GOOD teams SHARE 2nd place equally.
SAYwhat Posted October 27, 2006 Author Posted October 27, 2006 I hate coin tosses too. But I think that the Lady Rabbs coming back from almost a 25-14 loss to beat the Leopards 25-8? The Lady Rabbs stepped up and thats it. I just wish the game was still on to prove who is the better team. But guess we wont find that out. Just glad that the Lady Rabbs took 2nd.
rabbsfan11 Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Well during preseason the lady rabbs were very inconsistant. Last year they lost a lot of big guns which include Sunni Barr and April Chism. So to me they have improve a lot and DESERVE to be in the postion they are in.
Cow_boy Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I'm sure that every team has improved since the early part of the volleyball season. Everyone loses players and has to work in new players to the mix. I agree that Atlanta deserves to be tied with Liberty-Eylau for second place in the district.
