MeanGreenDogs64
I remember the radio guys for Jefferson did a list like this a few years ago. I for the life of me couldn't remember all of the people but I know a few that would be on there. QB- Kenneth Henderson (La Tech) RB- JoJo Rawls RB- Keith Smith (Texas) RB- Adrian Denmark RB- Anthony Johnson (Texas-Currently RB Coach at Texas) WR- Cedric Williams ( Kansas State) WR- Cordell Roberson (SFA) Played with Browns and Bills OL- Montrae Holland (Florida State) Played with Saints, Broncos, and Cowboys OL- Bobby Williams (Arkansas) Played with Eagles, Bengals, and Ravens OL- Trevor Murphy (Colorado State and SFA) DE- Jarred Schumpert (Southwest Baptist Missouri- Schools all time leading tackler) He tragically passed away a few years ago. Was a beast on the field. DE-Lance McFarland (Texas) DT- Chris Powell (Had several smaller FBS schools looking at him until a knee injury took place) LB- Antwain Jimmerson (Tulsa) Current AD/HC at Jefferson LB- Lance Hale (North Texas- walked on) S-Tim Duffie ( Texas Tech) Current Secondary coach at Oklahoma State S- Terry Johnson (Purdue) Record 17 INT S- Rafael Robinson (Wisconsin) Played with Oilers and Seahawks K- Michael Boen (Southern Arkansas) Funny story about him. He moved to Jefferson from Kansas where he played soccer. He was our manager, and would mess around kicking the football during warm ups. The coach saw him kick 40+ yard FGs, and he became our kicker. He kicked a 45 yard kick in a game, and Bob Stoops called him a week later. OU ended up signing a local kicker, but still a cool story. 1WildCat
showing my age eagle8, in the 70's there were a pair of guys named Horace and Jerry that could be on that team, they could run the h_ _ l out of the ball.
1WildCat
Thought that same thing. Played against the James brothers in 8th thru 12th grades. Seem a lineman, last name Sammons, while fishing at Martin Creek Lake a year or two back. I played on some pretty good teams at Waskom during that tome frame, but we could never get past Tatum . I would much rather have a dual-threat at that position.
