Jville scored on a 35 yard run by Trey Shanks and a 3 yard plunge by Kyle Copeland. The defense held for most of the game. Pine Tree has a potent run game. #21 is as good a back as there is in the district. Unlike previous years...I mean no offense to the Pine Tree faithful...the Pine Tree squad played hard until the end and the sportsmanship was excellent. They really stuck to their gameplan, it was a fun game to a part of. By the way...Jville 8B won their first game of the season in thrilling fashion, holding on to beat a very sharp Pine Tree squad, 22-17. Pine Tree dropped a touchdown pass with just seconds to play. All four teams have no reason to hang their heads.
