Trinidad's Damien Jackson Honored by Six-Man Hall of Fame...

Damien Jackson played football for Trinidad from 1996-1998, and he led them to the state championship.

 

The 6-man board of directors met in Lubbock on January 12th. Damien was voted into the 6-man Hall of Fame.

 

He will be inducted this summer at the 6-man all star game.

 

Damien graduated from Tarleton State University.

996 points (offensive only-also had 18 defensive points)

almost 4 rushing TD's per game

 

Damien played in 39 games in his 3 year career at Trinidad. Trinidad's record was 33-6, culminating with a state championship in 1998. 27 of those games were ended by the 45 point rule, which prevented Damien from playing a 3rd and/or 4th quarter.

 

Defensively, he had 210 career solos, 200 assists, 11 caused fumbles, 9 fumble recoveries, and 9 interceptions.

1998 was also the first year Fox Southwest recognized a 6 man player of the year and Damien was chosen as the first recipient.

 

Damien was also a two-time state champion in the 400 m dash (’98 and ’99) and a state champion in the 200 m dash (’98).
