Plus your credit report, driver record combined with your insurance rates and mileage on a daily basics versus your budget will tell you what car you can afford. That's a problem with young kids they want a awesome car on a awful budget. Since your like 39ish wisdom is on your side. My advise is DO THE RESEARCH on what ever car you choose.
