Tyler Announces The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Semi-finalists

TYLER, Texas - This year many talented athletes with ties to the state of Texas have emerged as candidates for The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award. Sixteen semi-finalists have been selected by The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Selection Committee.

Justin Dunning commits to Texas A&M

Whitehouse junior safety Justin Dunning, 6-3, 190, just tweeted that he has committed to Kevin Sumlin and Texas A&M University.

Dunning said, "Happy to say I just committed to Texas A&M University! Glad to be part of Aggie family! Glad to be part of the Aggie family! BLESSED All Glory to God! Thank you JESUS #gigem."
Earl Campbell Award honors Kolton Browning

Former Mabank High School star Kolton Browning, now the starting quarterback at UL-Monroe, was named the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Weekly Winner on Monday for his performance against Troy.

Browning completed 21-31 passing for 354-yards and 5-TD's.

Mack to A&M, Lynch to Baylor

Gladewater defensive lineman, Daylon Mack, the consensus top-rated player in Texas for the Class of 2015, has committed to play for Texas A&M.

Mack, 6-2, 310, announced his commitment on Twitter on Monday afternoon.

And, on Sunday, Troup athlete Blake Lynch, 6-2, 190, 4.5, committed to play at Baylor.

Both are in the Class of 2015.
Baylor's Goodley Honored by Earl Campbell Award

TYLER, Texas - Baylor wide receiver, Antwan Goodley has been selected as The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award National Player of the Week for the eighth week of the college football season.

Pine Tree ISD accepts Fitzhenry's Resignation

Pine Tree I.S.D. school board accepted the resignation and settlement of Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Derek Fitzhenry on Friday, announced by school board president Charley Peck, "we as a school board came to this conclusion for what know is in the best interest of the student-athletes, Pine Tree I.S.D. and all concerned."

Pine Tree I.S.D. will pay Fitzhenry a separation amount of $39,000, Resignation and Settlement Details per Reagan Roy with KETK-NBC 56.

The agreement comes after a season of controversy surrounding Fitzhenry and the football program.
