District 11-6A and 12-6A to play at McLane Stadium

I've confirmed all first round bi-district playoff games between District 11-6A and District 12-6A will be played at Baylor University's McLane Stadium the second weekend in November.
This will include teams from (District 11-6A), Tyler Lee, Rockall, Rowlett, Sacshe, North Garland, Garland, Naaman Forest, and Lakeview Centennial and (District 12-6A), Copperas Cove, Belton, Midway, Killeen High, Killeen Shoemaker, Killeen Ellison and Harker Heights.

Palestine Hires Jay Brown as AD/Football Coach

Jay Brown, the defensive line coach at Denton Ryan, is now the new athletic director at head football coach at Palestine High School, "I was born, raised and played in Jacksonville so East Texas is in my blood, being so close in Palestine is very special for me." Brown, who was approved during a Monday school board meeting added, "I feel honored to get back in saddle again as the athletic director and head football coach, especially in East Texas."
Brown, has a deep history in East Texas, including being born, raised and playing in Jacksonville before attending Stephen F. Austin State University. Brown has also been the defensive coordinator at Henderson, a head coach for six years at Texas College and an assistant coach for nine years at New Mexico State, 2-years at his Alma Mater, SFA, and 3-years at Mississippi Valley State.
Brown replaces Lance Angel who is now the athletic director at Bryan I.S.D.

Tyler ISD to recommend AD job to Greg Priest...

Baylor University men's golf coach Greg Priest has accepted the job as the new athletic director at Tyler I.S.D. Priest, 43, is familiar with Tyler, having once been the head golf coach at Tyler Junior College. He also has ties to East Texas being a graduate of Mabank High School what was then, East Texas State University, now Texas A&M-Commerce.

Eddy May leaving Simms Bowie for DeKalb

After a night to sleep on it, Eddy May has accepted the job as AD/Head Football Coach at DeKalb High School. May, who has been at (Simms) James Bowie since 2009 was offered the job on Monday.
(Simms) James Bowie was 31-25 in May's 5-years, including five consecutive playoff appearances.
Before his time at (Simms) James Bowie, May was an assistant coach under Randy McFarlin at both Whitehouse and Daingerfield.
He replaces Brandon Easterly who was 4-16 in 2-years at DeKalb, including 0-10 in 2013.

Blooming Grove's Grubbs headed to Buffalo...

Gary Grubbs was approved as the new AD/Head Football Coach at Buffalo High School on Monday. Grubbs, who was 18-15 in three-years at Blooming Grove, has also been a head coach at Kermit, Eldorado and Pecos.
