DeKalb to recommend Daniel Johnson
Monday, 2nd June 2014 - 6:13PM
Smoaky.com has learned Daniel Johnson will be recommended on Monday night as the new AD/Football Coach at DeKalb High School. Johnson resigned at Teague earlier this spring after going 15-8 in two years with the Lions.

Johnson has ties to East Texas as a former Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator at Pittsburg, and former Offensive Coordinator at Clarksville.

This will be Johnson's third head coaching opportunity, other than his two years at Teague, he was 7-4 at Nueces Canyon High School.

Johnson graduated from Haskell University in Kansas.

If approved at Monday night's school board meeting, Johnson will replace Brandon Easterling who was 4-16 in two years at DeKalb, including 0-10 in 2013.
