Thursday, 5th June 2014 - 6:37PM
Gary Grubbs was approved as the new AD/Head Football Coach at Buffalo High School on Monday. Grubbs, who was 18-15 in three-years at Blooming Grove, has also been a head coach at Kermit, Eldorado and Pecos.

Blooming Grove won their first playoff game in 36-years in 2013 tpld David Smoak, "I'm excited about the opportunity in Buffalo. The community is very supportive of the school and it's entire extra-curricular programs, particularly their athletic program." Grubbs added, "The community wants a competitive program that's a winner and I'm glad to be a part of that. The kids are great, facilities are excellent and that's what you need to be successful."

Grubbs replaces Mark Read who resigned earlier this year after his contract wasn't extended past 2014. Read will be an offensive assistant and coach baseball at Leon High School.
