Matt Flynn To Sign With Seattle
Friday, 23rd March 2012 - 6:27PM
Former Tyler Lee quarterback Matt Flynn, has agreed to sign a three-year contract worth $26-million dollars with the Seattle Seahawks ($10-million dollars guaranteed).
Flynn flew to Seattle late last week and also had discussions with Miami.
But, according to my sources, the Dolphins kept slow-playing Flynn's agent, in fact not responding to his phone calls earlier last week. But, when Flynn decided to visit Seattle on Wednesday night, Miami contacted Flynn's agent asking him not to make the visit. Flynn also visited Miami on Saturday, but his camp never felt like the Dolphins gave him a legitimate contract offer.
Flynn started some games as a sophomore, and every game as a junior and senior at Tyler Lee. He led the Red Raiders to the Class 5-A semifinals in 2002, and then led LSU to a national championship as a senior. He started just two games behind Aaron Rodgers with the Green Bay Packers, but played well both times.
