West Rusk is off to a 2-0 start this season in big thanks for the running back duo of Jamal Ford and Tate Winings.
Last week in a 55-33 win over 3A-Division 1 Sabine the two combined for 345-yards and four scores. Ford, a senior, ended the night with 172-yards, three scores on 18 carries. Not to be outdone, Winings, a junior had 15-carries for 173-yards and one score.

Caddo Mills senior signal caller Jason Thomason not only led the Foxes to a 44-20 win over Bullard but did so in school record breaking fashion. Thomason went 23 of 41 for 429 yards and five touchdowns. The 429-yards passing surpassed previous school record set last season by Tyler Townley by 29-yards. The five touchdowns also ties for the school
record also with Townley.

Some considered last week "Rivalry Week" for the schools in the higher classifications. You had matchups
between Lufkin and Nacogdoches, Longview and Marshall but as far as offense goes, Tyler High and Tyler Legacy
stole the show. Legacy won the barn-burner 62-55 but Tyler High put up some serious numbers. Senior quarterback Eli Holt went 27 of 46 for 642-yards and 7-TD's. The wide receiver trio of
Derrick McFall, Makavion Potts and Montrell Wade combined for 594 of those yards. Sophomore McFall led the way with 248-yards on 8-catches while finding the end zone three times. Potts, a
junior, was on the receiving end of seven catches for 186-yards and one score. Junior Montrell Wade ended the night with 9-receptions for 160-yards, 3-TD's.
