like i said, I don't think all of the details have emerged and i doubt this kid was some victim. Bleeds already said i'm making a lot of assumptions, and i admit i am. There is obviously a difference between a mutual fight and being attacked. There is also a huge difference between just attacking somebody and being provoked.

that is drastically overblowing the situation a lot. Just about every football season during practice two kids usually end up going too far and breaking down and fighting, should those kids be sent to jail because they fought? Its the same thing in schools, little things get at kids who havn't fully matured yet and they come to blows, most of it lasts very little time before its broken up and both kids get their punishment and the day goes on as normal.

I think i made mention to this in my second post that if the kid suffered any sort of injuries that needed medical attention then yes, it becomes more serious and charges should be filed. Now if this kid got beat up a little bit dusted himself off and walked off then its an entirely different story.

1) If he had been black and wearing an anti-obama shirt the attack would not have happened? It was because he was wearing an anti-obama shirt(have details emerged about what the shirt said?) on a day in which several people felt like should be a celebration, plus he is a teenage kid so i wouldn't put it past him to be looking for trouble. 2) Interesting, I still don't see it, but I guess you guys are correct. 3) There are so many fights that occur in high school, its just a part of high school, I don't see why there should be criminal cases made out of it. People fight, they get punished by the school, life goes on, now of course the idiots will continue to get in trouble, and i think most schools have a progression system where if you continue to do things such as get into fights to turning the fight over to authorities? maybe i'm wrong about the exact details its been awhile since i read the rule books lol. 4) don't lawyers usually go with lesser charges when they don't think higher charges will stick? I think that was mentioned in the case of the Jenna six or whatever wasn't it?

I have serious doubts they attacked him simply because he was white. I also have doubts that you can label something based on political affiliation a hate crime. Plus the details of it all are vague, so I wouldn't put this past just a simple case of kids fighting in school, which i have problems with kids going to jail for. I understand REL has to deal with their fights different from what smaller schools are allowed to, but kids fight, it happens, suspend them, do what you do, but don't send them to jail over it. Now if details emerge or maybe i missed it where this kid was beaten to the point of having serious injuries, then yes, file charges then.

Talk of hate crime seems a little silly to me.

Now I know the election is nowhere near over but I had a few questions for the conservative blog readers. 1) Is there any indication of any divisions in the republican party? That damned liberal media is telling all these stories of factions forming in the republican party, and then there is talk of people like Limbaugh saying they don't need the republicans that have jumped ship. Is any of this being discussed at all? 2) Is there really talk of Palin being groomed to run for president in 2012?

I dunno, If he is serious about his retiring at the end of his contract then I don't see him fighting at 205 again(unless he already has another fight scheduled?) He gave reasons before about not wanting to fight at 205 seriously, plus I mean if he is going to retire soon it would be in his best interest to just continue to dominate his division and end his career on the top of the mountain, yanno?

The Silva fight was pretty disappointing, but he is head and shoulders above the rest of the competition in that weight class. The only thing Cote had going for him was that he wasn't knocked out yet, those rounds easily went to Silva. Overall I enjoyed most of the fights, loved that KO punch by Dos Santos that was just crazy.
