Am I crying? I asked a question to which seemingly many who read this website should know the answer. However, no one seems to...or they are for some reason electing not to. Let's see if we can find some common ground. Do you agree with me that DCTF is overrating Tatum for next year by ranking them 10th in the state? They lost a district game to Harmony last year when they had at QB one of the best athletes in the state. What in the world is going to happen next season without him?

"Accusation"? I hardly term asking if the Tatum superintendent was a high school student and/or player of the UIL Executive Director an "accusation". It was merely a question that, based on who makes up the readership of this webiste, could be easily answered. I'm sure you are correct; the UIL could care less. That is true of most of the posts on this website. So what? This website isn't for the UIL; it's for the sports fans.

I don't know why you write such a thing. Last I heard, Dave Campbell lives in Waco. I can't even find out the Tatum school superintendent's high school, and he lives in Tatum!

I may have been the only one who brought up any connection on this thread, but believe me, many have been discussing it in conversations that were taking place before and after the realignment came out last week. Many had heard it before I did. I thought this would be a good place to learn if there was anything to it. At this point, I have to think otherwise for, as I stated in a previous post, no one has yet supplied any answers. I must say, however, that I am led to believe at this point that it is true for if it wasn't, surely someone who knows would have stepped forward to say so.

It's not personal. I thought since many in East Texas were talking about the supposed connection between the superintendent of the school that was arguably the biggest "winner" in last week's realignment, which is the subject of this thread, and the Executive Director of the UIL, we could get it out in the open and have it proved or disproved by folks who should know. I apparently thought wrong, as no one seems to know or want to share what they know. Seems to me some sunshine on the matter would be best.

Indeed the playoff wins for Stephenville last year should have read "4A" instead of "3A". By the way, La Marque will probably play in Division II as West Columbia, which will be in their new district, has a larger enrollment. West Columbia won 3 playoff games last year in 3A and has won 26 games in the past 2 years.

Some top-notch talent returns (e.g., QB, RB, ILB). There are also multiple returning starters on the DL & OLB. Have a lot of starting positions open on the OL, WR & secondary, but starters graduate every year. Potential is very high; DCTF Winter Edition has the Dawgs ranked 2nd in the state behind Stephenville, which won 3 playoff games last year in 3A.

What is the truth? Was the UIL Director at one time a high school teacher and/or coach of the Tatum Superintendent? I didn't see the answer in your long post.

Actually, I have been attempting to get the truth via this thread. To date, I have only received from my fellow posters the superintendent's annual salary and his e-mail address but not the name of the high school from which he graduated, which was my question.
