  1. The winner of the Pflugerville Connally vs Lancaster game
  2. Way to go Panthers. Good luck tomorrow against Avery!
  3. Great game. Very proud of those guys! What an awesome finish to the season. Let's get behind then for BB time now! Go Panthers!
  4. You are definitely right, Trouble. The team needs to pull together now and finish the season with two more wins. Can't change what happened Friday night, so gotta look ahead. Go get em Panthers! Take care of business!
  5. You are right, jackuup...I was at the game and GS didn't dominate the game at any point. It was neck and neck the entire game. Mistakes were made by both teams and AG played a great game. Had they gone into OT it could have been a very different outcome. But at the end of the game, GS did win, but it wasn't because they outplayed AG. Good luck to the Panthers the rest of the season!
  6. Well said, 5974! Good luck, Panthers!
  7. Hey, PokeInYourEye - You are not alone! NUMEROUS people witnessed the unsportsmanlike behavior from the Quitman players. Not only by not taking a knee, but there were some that repeatedly threw up an "X" sign crossing their arms across their chest while Billy Hill lay there motionless and in pain! That was just plain disgusting. The hit was a good hit..no question about it, but the "X"ing from the players and they way they walked around all arrogant while a player was down was just plain wrong. jackuup mentioned that some of the AG players were up...yeh..they did immediately take a knee, maybe you didnt' see that, and they only got up later so that the could try and see what was happeNing with their downed teammate. Any response to this is welcomed, cause I'd really like to hear it!
  8. Prayers from Alba-Golden. May God keep your brother and all those serving our country safe from harm and return them home quickly. God bless them one and all.
  9. Even with the EMT there, they can only speculate what the actual diagnosis is. I heard several things myself, but until he could be checked out at the ER, no one knew for sure. I think it's pretty common when an injury occurs. I was able to talk to the family last night and Billy was found to be fine...banged up, but fine...they came home last night. Someone upstairs was listening to all the prayers being sent up. The boys played a really good game. Way to go Panthers! Good luck next week!
  10. AG played pretty darn well tonight! Good job guys. Keep up the good work!
  11. Someone needs to take some anger management classes.
  12. A-G has a new fieldhouse and weight room this year, along with recently re-painted gym floor and updated dressing rooms, and new tennis courts, and more. Lots of improvements going on.
  13. Nobody said kids NEEDED midnight madness...it's all about the community coming together in celebration of the kickoff the upcoming football season....what's the harm in that? Maybe you should attend midnight madness somewhere. So, do you also think that grilling in the parking lot prior to College/NFL games, selling their team merchandise and selling peanuts, hot dogs and pretzels, etc. is "pansying" the players? Some of you people just can't let it go...sad. Midnight Madness will happen at lots of schools across the country...oh and by the way, many people in those booster clubs, that I'm certain you weren't a part of, work their butts off to raise money for their student athletes. They hold fundraisers, volunteer their time working in concessions, working on projects, mowing the fields, and lots of numerous other tasks...all in support of the student athlete. How many other people on here are against Booster Clubs???
  14. YEH! GO PANTHERS!! :happy65: :happy65:
  15. Broker, I think you and Bleeds are doing a heck of a job already by blowing things up. :whome:
  16. NB, do you yourself know what it takes to play college football? What college did you play for? and how do you know that we as parents do not share the love of Jesus Christ with our children? Do you feel that you are the All-Seeing and All-Knowing wonder of the world?
  17. Getting in an actual practice isn't what Midnight Madness is about. It's an event where anyone, if they choose, can come support their football teams and the kickoff of football season. If you can make it great, if not, that's okay too. I personally enjoyed attending last year's MM. It creates excitement and increases anticipation of the games/season to come. It's about bringing the community and the kids together.
  18. Alba-Golden will be doing it again this year. Festivities begin at 11:00 pm, Sunday, August 5, with the first practice of the season held at 12:01 a.m. Monday, August 6. Had a great turnout last year and I'm sure there will even be a better turnout this year!
  19. Hey, NatureBoy, was just reading one of your other posts on a topic about AG that is now closed. So now you are calling kids from AG 'degenerates'? Those kids are some of the best kids you could ever meet. That's pretty lame to say something like that, NB.
  20. Is there any chance that this next year will go smoother or will it only get worse at A-G? There seems to be a handful of people who do not want Frye as AD/Coach. He could have won the Superbowl and that wouldn't have been good enough for them. That's why nothing will ever change in that school system. The sad part is that the ones that it will affect the most are the kids. Frye took the job because he wanted to turn the program around...plain and simple. How many coaches would have taken the job at A-G with the record they had? OH, and ask the principal about the failure rate at A-G? That's been a problem for quite some time. Seems like the board should do something about that problem...Oh, but I think some of those teachers are part of that handful and are friends of Ellis, which means nothing will ever happen to them! I just hope that everyone does their own job and gets along this year, especially for the kids sake.
  21. I think that A-G will do great this fall. People are underestimating them, but that's okay. I saw them play in the 7 on 7 tourn in Tyler several times and they have really made improvements and are working better as a team. They tied for first place in their division and they were up against some good talent. I'm anxious to see how well they do, as I think alot of people in the community are.
