  1. Yup, hold onto him in case a team has a teddy bridgewater situation.

  4. pretty pumped about getting a 4th round pick for church.
  5. wow I just read about this. I wonder what his value is...him being as young as he is and with his production, I'd guess a first round pick?
  6. I don't care who they draft, they just need to draft the best player available. if there are no pass rushing players worthy of their first pick, either take the best player or trade out.
  7. well that probably puts him in the top ten discussion which means we have no chance at him. Thats ok tho, because if he fell to us I think we'd have to take him, and I don't want to take a receiver with a first round pick.
  8. that would be nice, but I don't think there's a Chinaman's chance in hell we get a 4th rounder for him. we'd be lucky to get a 6th rounder for him, I think.
  9. yeah I just read a little write up on him. apparently he's Robert Jones's son, who played linebacker for the cowboys and won three super bowls. also his uncle is Jeff Blake, former qb of the Cincinnati Bengals.
  10. that may be so, and I'm no LSU fan so I didn't watch all of their games, but the games I did watch, the qb was the epitome of inaccurate.
  11. he's been "ok" but I don't think he's shown after four years he's a long term answer at #2 receiver.
  12. well I'm talking tail-end of the draft, if not just as an undrafted FA.
  13. it's hard to believe the people that don't watch baseball don't do so because it takes too long. you either love watching baseball or you don't.
  14. yeah, among other concerns. he was a five star guy coming out so the ability is there. he just needs to get his head on right. I'd take a chance on him at the end of the 6th at the very earliest. put some weight on him and put him and Gathers together to see which project wants it more.
  15. good point on not having the fifth year option. that is definitely a plus. a couple of more intriguing guys. Malachi Dupre from LSU and Ricky seals-Jones. Dupre's stats won't blow you away but he also had absolutely nothing to work with in terms of having a half assed qb. I like his size at 6'4 195 and he seems to win a lot of jump balls. was his route running has been criticized but the film I watched looked pretty good imo. also I've read where his hands aren't that great, but again I saw him make some very impressive catches. he'd be worth a look by round 4-5. seals-Jones might not even get drafted, but he looks like he could put on ten pounds and try his hand as a tight end. he'll need to put in a lot of work, something that from what I've read isn't his strong suit. he'd be worth a look in rounds 6-7.
  16. I LOVE Cooper kupp. not too hot on taking a wr on the first round, even if a wr happens to be the BAA. I'd much rather trade out of the first round than take a WR. But then again if we do, who am I to question McClay and the crew? if we do take a receiver, I hope its a burner. I really think we'll wind up trading down. but back to cannon. I've read where he's the #22 receiver in this draft, which is asinine in my opinion. he's coming from a program where receivers tend to flourish because of the system, but damn. I just can't see 21 receivers going before him. I feel like you could use him pretty much anywhere. safeties wouldn't be able to cheat up against our run in fear of getting beat deep.
  17. KD Cannon. He seems to be flying under the radar, as I've seen several wide receivers being projected to be taken before him. if he falls to round 3 I hope we select him. talk about taking the top off of a defense!
  18. 3,000 strikeouts, 3 rings, 11-2 record in the postseason, 2.33 postseason ERA, sub 1.00 postseason WHIP, world series MVP...in my opinion he's a lock.
  19. that's weird. I wonder why so many thought it was Bell?
  20. oh wow it WAS Gutierrez! my first thought was bell tho.
  21. which Astro got the only "hit" in Kerry Wood's 20 strikeout effort?
  22. even a great deal of Montana's success me from having very good defenses. all those years in San Fran, he had only two losing seasons, and not coincidentally those two seasons were years where he didn't have to ten defenses, in terms of points against. it's why I don't believe in measuring how great a quarterback is by looking at his win/loss record.
