I think its the first FAIR test of the season to gauge waskoms team. Center was 2 levels up and PP was beat up before the game ever started. I kinda thought that since HS fans had been as quiet as a mouse f@rt that they might be having a down year. ( they might have thought that too) but after the Arp game i think we can say they a pretty good team. So lets see what they do. If its a 60-14 game then i will go start the bus for the waskom band wagon groupies and turn on the AC.

I dont know. If put you neville in with teams that have comparable enrollment numbers. They have about 900 students compared to longviews 1,800. Neville would probably be a small 4a school. They would be ok but not against 5-6a schools but they wouldnt be in those districts anyway.

The key to a HS victory is what quality of tacklers are the HS defenders. Refugio had one guy to the ball and that one guy brought down the runner. There wasnt 3 broken tackles then pop a 30 yard run. So if HS can tackle good then they can play with them. But if there is c rappy tackling then waskom will cruise to a easy victory

Last year he had- Passing 1375 yds/ 10 tds & rushing 650 yds 8 td.

Our defense is not our problem, they have gave up very few points, caused many turnovers/ take aways and doing it while being stuck on the field most of the game. Those seniors being gone is not our problem. Our problem is that our offense is offensive !!!! Dropped balls at critical monents in the game, recievers not running hard on routes if they dont think the ball is coming to them, teams blitzing linebackers that we have no answer for, we dont have a sweep we can run out of our only formation we run, no power running game formations, no option running game, so until we can fix our offensive woes then the rest dont matter. All those guys listed were defense starters and defense is not where this team is lacking. That defense has been money this year and especially considering how many 3& outs our offense has had.

11/22 186yards with 8 drops last night, 6-7 drops against mineola. Our 2 best recievers are on the side that we arent designed to throw too. Until that changes. We wont do much of anything. After all the drops last year this is starting to wear real thin on me this year and we are only 2 games into the season.

i dont think anything is tore or broke but he is having to use the crutches to get around this morning.

Only because the games in HS and Arp will have atleast 3 scores called back on imaginary holds and a guarenteed holding penality on momentuem changing offensie plays and any first down that happens on 3rd & long !!!!! We try to season them at least a year !!!! There are some grown men on these varsity teams !!! Luckily this year we didnt have to move any freshman up.

Im still curious about our offense. Because in that White Oak scrimmage we shreaded that defense but Mineola was a tough group on their defense and held us. I saw the 3a east texas top ten ad it had WO at ten. No way. Mineola is a better team from what i saw and even a few of our players said that

With waskom turning their program around and Arp, EF and Troup with consistently solid teams year in and year out. This district can be tough to win even for the really good teams on any given year.

Yes- you are absolutely correct. Jefferson is on a whole different level. It just happens to be below mineola. Haha.
